Saint, before you go one word further, I must ask something of you.

What I'm about to share will sound crazy. Audacious. Way too bold. Off-the-charts ridiculous. A pipe dream that will attract plenty of mockers and eye-rollers. I know this. In all humility, through suffering, tears, and countless hours of prayer, crying out to God, I know exactly how this will sound to the rational, sophisticated, politically savvy mind.

But here's what I've learned in my deepest moments of desperation, when I've wept over the faces of trafficked children, when I've prayed until my knees were raw and my voice was gone: Nothing—absolutely nothing—is impossible with God.

So I'm asking you for just one moment—sixty seconds of your life—to set aside everything you think you know about politics, about human nature, about the way the world works. I'm asking you to remember what Jesus said: "Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." (Matthew 17:20)

A mustard seed. The tiniest of seeds. That's all He asks for.

Can you find that much faith? Can you, for just this moment, believe like a child believes—with wonder, with hope, with the audacious expectation that maybe, just maybe, the God who parted the Red Sea and raised the dead might still be in the business of doing the impossible?

Can you imagine that the same God who transformed Saul the persecutor into Paul the apostle, who took David from the shepherd's field to the throne, who used a teenage girl named Mary to bring salvation to the world—can you imagine that this same God might have one more impossible transformation in store for our generation?

Acts 9:3-5 "As he was traveling, it happened that he was approaching Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him; and he fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, 'Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?' And he said, 'Who are You, Lord?' And He said, 'I am Jesus whom you are persecuting.'"

I'm not asking you to believe in politics. I'm not asking you to believe in human goodness. I'm asking you to believe in the God of the impossible, who delights in confounding the wisdom of this world and using the most unlikely vessels for His greatest glory.

Because if you can find just that tiny seed of faith—smaller than the period at the end of this sentence—then you're ready to read about the most audacious, impossible, world-changing miracle that just might be waiting to unfold before our very eyes.

The mockery will come. The eye-rolls are inevitable. But remember: they mocked Noah until it started raining. They laughed at David until Goliath fell. They crucified Jesus until Sunday morning changed everything forever.

So take a deep breath. Whisper a prayer. Find that mustard seed.

Matthew 25:35-36 "'For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.'"
