I Can't, He Can, He Will, because HE DID!

In the heart of every believer is a call—a DIVINE MANDATE that transcends the boundaries of our individual existences and connects us to the very essence of God's purpose for THE NEW HUMANITY.

This call is not merely to exist within our comfort zones but to engage actively in the transformative journey of faith, where the ultimate goal is not our personal fulfillment but the manifestation of God's KINGDOM on earth. This journey is underpinned by a profound truth encapsulated in a simple yet powerful realization: "I can't, He can, HE DID."

"And He summoned the crowd with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it." Mark 8:34-35

This realization is not born out of a sense of defeat but of the acknowledgment of the limitless power of Christ within us. It's a declaration that, apart from Christ, we are nothing; we can do nothing. Yet, in Him, we find the strength to do everything.

"I can do all things through Him who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13

It's a testament to the paradox that defines our faith—our complete inadequacy met by His boundless sufficiency. This principle is the bedrock of our call to DISCIPLESHIP, as commanded by Jesus Himself. We are commissioned not just to be passive recipients of God's Grace but active participants in the DIVINE MISSION of reconciling the world to Himself.

"And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

The essence of this mission is captured in the dual command to seek first His KINGDOM and His RIGHTEOUSNESS. It's a directive that shifts our focus from the temporal to the eternal, from the material to the spiritual, urging us to prioritize the advancement of God's KINGDOM OF LOVE BY GRACE above all else.

"No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us." 1 John 4:12

This advancement is not limited to church walls or religious activities. Still, it extends to every aspect of our lives, embodying Christ's love, Grace, and truth in our interactions, decisions, and aspirations.

"But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." Matthew 6:33

Our role in this divine narrative is beautifully outlined in the Holy Bible. The Scriptures I provide are my theological basis for our mission and serve as a blueprint for living out our faith.

"But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;" 1 Peter 2:9

The Scriptures remind us that we are new creations in Christ, called out of darkness into His marvelous light, equipped and empowered by the Holy Spirit to witness the GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST.

"Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer. Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was IN CHRIST reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." 2 Corinthians 5:16-21

Through the Spirit's indwelling, we are transformed into the image of Christ, enabling us to reflect His love, wisdom, and power in our daily lives by Grace.

"Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you." James 4:10

This transformation is not an end but a means to a more excellent end—establishing God's KINGDOM here on earth as it is in Heaven. As ambassadors of Christ, we are entrusted with the ministry of reconciliation, called to be agents of healing, restoration, and Grace in a broken world.

"fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:2

Our mission is to embody Christ's RADICAL GENEROSITY and SELF-GIVING LOVE, serving others not out of obligation but out of the overflow of the love we have received from Him.

I Can't, He Can, HE DID!

In this journey of faith, we are not alone. Christ's promise to be with us always, even to the end of the age, assures us of His constant presence and guidance. It's a reminder that the mission we are called to IS NOT OURS BUT HIS; we are merely CO-LABORS WITH CHRIST, working together to fulfill HIS divine purpose.

"This I command you, that you love one another." John 15:17

As we embrace this call to discipleship, let us do so with humility, recognizing our dependence on God's Grace and the power of the Holy Spirit. Let us seek His KINGDOM and RIGHTEOUSNESS FIRST, trusting that as we do, all these things will be added unto us.

"Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me." Matthew 16:24

Let us live our lives as a testament to the Gospel's transformative power, making disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to observe all Christ commanded us. In doing so, we fulfill our DIVINE MANDATE and participate in unfolding God's redemptive plan for humanity.

Understanding Our Identity in Christ

Embarking on the path of DISCIPLESHIP requires a conscious decision to surrender every aspect of our lives to the sovereignty of Jesus Christ. It's an invitation to enter into a deeper relationship with Him, to allow His life to be lived through us.

"instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age," Titus 2:12

This call to action is not just for a select few but for every believer who desires to see the Kingdom of God manifest on earth. Let’s dive deeper into the essence of our calling, offering practical steps, reflections, and takeaways for those eager to respond to the divine mandate of discipleship as laid out in the Scriptures.

"Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time," 1 Peter 5:6

Before effectively engaging in our mission, we must understand our identity IN CHRIST. We are resurrected with Christ, new creations, redeemed and sanctified by the blood of Jesus. This fundamental truth redefines our purpose, aligning our desires and ambitions with God's will.

"And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me." Luke 9:23

As we embrace our identity IN CHRIST, we find the strength and motivation to pursue His calling with passion and dedication.

Practical Steps for Deepening Our Discipleship

Begin each day with a prayer of humility, confession, and surrender, acknowledging your ABSOLUTE dependence on God and inviting the Holy Spirit to lead your thoughts, words, and actions by Grace. Ask for Grace to live HIS LIFE IN YOU.

Commit to daily Scripture reading and meditation. Let the Word of God dwell in you richly, guiding your decisions and transforming your mind.

"Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God." Colossians 3:16

Seek DAILY opportunities to serve others in love, reflecting the heart of Jesus. Whether through acts of kindness, volunteering, or supporting those in need, let your life be a testimony of God's Grace daily, on PURPOSE. Remember, YOU CAN’T, HE CAN, and HE DID!

Surround yourself with fellow believers who will encourage, challenge, and hold you accountable in your walk with Christ. Discipleship thrives in the community.

"who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity," 2 Timothy 1:9

Cultivate a life of continuous prayer, staying in constant communication with God. This deepens your relationship with Him and empowers you to live out your faith boldly.

Call to Action for Believers

Commit to ways to demonstrate HIS RADICAL GENEROSITY in your life. Consider how you can use your resources, time, and talents to bless others and advance God's KINGDOM, and then do it DAILY.

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another." John 13:34

Take intentional steps toward absolute reconciliation, whether in personal relationships or within your community. Let the ministry of reconciliation entrusted to us by Christ be evident in your daily actions.

"Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another." 1 John 4:11

Actively participate in making disciples by mentoring others, sharing the Gospel, and teaching people to obey Christ's commands. Remember, discipleship is not just about knowledge but transformation.

Identify areas where you need growth and seek God's guidance and wisdom in those areas. Invest your time in DAILY Bible study to aid your spiritual formation. PRAY EVERY DAY FOR YOUR COMMUNITY.

"remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world." Ephesians 2:12

Ask the Holy Spirit to make your faith visible through your lifestyle. In your workplace, home, and community, let the love and Grace of Jesus teach you how to love others, especially those who are IMPOSSIBLE TO LOVE.
