A Modern Letter from Jude
Urgent Words to Parents in These Last Days
To the Parents of St. George, the Great Basin, and All America - From a Watchman Who Sees What’s Coming
Beloved Parents, Called and Kept for This Very Hour: Mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you right now, in this moment of history.
“Jude, a bond-servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, To those who are the called, beloved in God the Father, and kept for Jesus Christ.” - Jude 1:1
I had planned to write you about our common salvation. But I MUST write something different. The hour demands it. Your children demand it. Heaven demands it.
“Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about our common salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints.” - Jude 1:3
Parents, Listen: Wolves Are Already in Your House
They came through your smartphones. Through TikTok. Through classrooms. School counselors. Through friends. While you were working, paying bills, surviving - they crept in unnoticed.
“For certain persons have crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn the grace of our God into licentiousness.” - Jude 1:4
Look at your children’s eyes. See the confusion? Do you see the anxiety? The questions they’re afraid to ask? They know something’s wrong. The world is groaning. Creation is screaming. And your babies - whether they’re 5 or 25 - they feel it.
“For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now.” - Romans 8:22
Remember What Happened Before - It’s Happening Again
Remember Sodom? Your kids are being told it was about “inhospitality.” LIE.
Remember the angels who fell? They’re told it’s mythology. LIE.
Remember the Exodus? They’re taught it never happened. LIE.
“Now I desire to remind you, though you know all things once for all, that the Lord, after saving a people out of the land of Egypt, subsequently destroyed those who did not believe.” - Jude 1:5
“And angels who did not keep their own domain, but abandoned their proper abode, He has kept in eternal bonds under darkness for the judgment of the great day.” - Jude 1:6
Parents in Utah, you who live in the shadow of temples and traditions - TRADITION CANNOT SAVE YOUR CHILDREN. Only Jesus can.
This Is What Your Children Are Swimming In Daily
“Yet in the same way these men, also by dreaming, defile the flesh, and reject authority, and revile angelic majesties.” - Jude 1:8
They’re told:
- Their gender is fluid
- Their parents’ faith is toxic
- Their nation’s history is evil
- Their future is doomed by climate catastrophe
- Their feelings determine truth
These are the “dreamers” Jude warned about - they defile the flesh (confuse sexuality), reject authority (destroy parental influence), and revile what is holy (mock God).
But You, Beloved Parents - HERE’S WHAT YOU DO RIGHT NOW
For Your Small Children (Ages 3-10):
TONIGHT at bedtime:
Tell them: “Jesus loves you more than Mommy and Daddy ever could. He’s preparing a special place just for everyone, just believe.”
“In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.” - John 14:2
Read them the story of the wise and foolish virgins (Matthew 25:1-13) but make it simple:
- “Some girls were ready for the wedding party, some weren’t.”
- “Being ready means having Jesus in your heart.”
- “Oil is like Jesus’ love - we need to be FULL of it.”
PRAY WITH them (not just for them):
“Jesus, fill us with Your Holy Spirit like oil in our lamps. We want to be ready when You come.”
Sing simple truths over them:
“Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so”
For Your Preteens (Ages 11-13):
THIS WEEKEND, have THE conversation:
“The world is changing fast. But here’s what NEVER changes…”
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” - Hebrews 13:8
Tell them about the thief on the cross:
- He had NOTHING to offer
- He was dying yet acknowledge THE KING
- He simply said, “Remember me” (believe)
- Jesus said, “TODAY you’ll be with Me in Paradise”
CONTEND FOR THE FAITH
“And he was saying, ‘Jesus, remember me when You come in Your kingdom!’ And He said to him, ‘Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise.’” - Luke 23:42-43
Explain: “You don’t need to be perfect. You don’t need to understand everything. You just need to ASK King Jesus to remember you.”
Give them permission to question - but teach them WHERE to find answers:
“When friends say something that confuses you, we test it here” (hold up Bible)
“But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit.” - Jude 1:20
For Your Teenagers (Ages 14-18):
Stop pretending everything is normal. THEY KNOW IT’S NOT.
Be honest: “We’re living in the days the Bible warned about. Let me show you…”
Open to 2 Timothy 3:1-5 and read it WITH them:
“But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents…” 2 Timothy 3:1-5
Ask them: “Does this sound like your school? Your social media? Our world?”
Then give them HOPE:
“Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world.” - Revelation 3:10
Explain the Wedding:
- Christ is the Groom
- We (believers) are the Bride
- The Rapture is Him coming to get His Bride
- The Tribulation is the “hour of testing” we’ll be kept from
Challenge them like the last-hour workers:
“Even if you’ve wasted years, even if you come to Jesus at the very last second, you get the SAME reward as someone who’s served Him their whole life. The pay is the same: ETERNAL LIFE.”
“So the last shall be first, and the first last.” - Matthew 20:16
For Your Young Adults (Ages 19-25):
They’re drowning in despair. Give them PURPOSE:
“You weren’t born for this moment by accident. You’re the Esthers - born ‘for such a time as this.’”
“Who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?” - Esther 4:14
Tell them about Jude’s call to ACTION:
“But you, beloved, ought to remember the words that were spoken beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ.” - Jude 1:17
“Keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting anxiously for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.” - Jude 1:21
Give them a MISSION
“And have mercy on some, who are doubting; save others, snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear, hating even the garment polluted by the flesh.” - Jude 1:22-23
Translation: “Your friends are on fire. GRAB THEM. Pull them out. Some are doubting - be gentle. Some are in rebellion - be urgent. But SAVE THEM.”
Parents: The Wedding Invitation Is Going Out RIGHT NOW
“The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ And let the one who hears say, ‘Come!’ And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost.” - Revelation 22:17
“And He said to me, ‘It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost.’” - Revelation 21:6
Your children are THIRSTY. They’re drinking from poisoned wells of social media, secular education, and empty relationships.
Jesus is saying:
“Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, ‘If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.’” - John 7:37
“Ho! Every one who thirsts, come to the waters; And you who have no money come, buy and eat. Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.” - Isaiah 55:1
The Most Important Thing You’ll Ever Tell Your Children
It’s NOT About Being Good Enough
Tell them about the wedding feast (Matthew 22:1-14):
- The “good” people refused to come
- God sent servants to the highways and hedges
- He brought in ANYONE who would come
- The only requirement: Accept the wedding garment (Christ’s righteousness)
Your kids from the streets of St. George, hiking the red rocks, working at gas stations, struggling with addiction, confused about identity - THEY’RE THE ONES BEING CALLED TO THE WEDDING.
“Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.” - Romans 12:1
Parents, Here’s Your Emergency Action Plan
TONIGHT (Yes, Tonight):
Gather your family - Turn off all devices.
Light a candle - Say “Jesus is the light of the world.”
Open your Bible - Read Luke 15 (all three lost parables).
Ask one question: “If Jesus came back tonight, are you ready?.”
Give the invitation: “Anyone who wants to be sure, let’s pray right now.”
The Prayer (Have them repeat after you):
“Jesus, I’m like the thief on the cross.
I have nothing to offer You.
But I believe You died for me and rose again.
Remember me when You come into Your kingdom.
Fill me with Your Holy Spirit like oil in my lamp.
I want to be at Your wedding feast.
Come into my heart right now.
I receive You as my Lord and Savior.
Thank You for saving me.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Parents: Jude’s Promise to You
“Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.” - Jude 1:24-25
HE IS ABLE:
- To keep your children from stumbling
- To make them stand before Him
- To present them blameless
- To fill them with GREAT JOY
“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us.” - Ephesians 3:20
The Five Wise Virgins Are Getting Ready RIGHT NOW
In every youth group, in every family, the separation is happening. Five wise, five foolish. The wise ones are:
- Filling their lamps (reading the Word)
- Getting extra oil (praying in the Spirit)
- Trimming their wicks (removing sin)
- Watching (paying attention to signs)
- Waiting (not giving up)
Parents, make sure your children are among the WISE.
Final Warning and Promise
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” - Romans 12:2
The world wants to conform your children to its image:
- Confused
- Depressed
- Godless
- Hopeless
But God wants to transform them into His image:
- Clear-minded
- Joyful
- Spirit-filled
- Hope-filled
Parents: You Are Modern-Day Noahs
You’re building an ark of faith for your family. The rain is coming. The door will shut. But right now - RIGHT NOW - the door is still open.
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.” - Revelation 3:20
Don’t let another night pass. Don’t let another meal go by. Don’t let another bedtime prayer be routine.
The King is coming for His Bride. Make sure your entire household has wedding garments.
From the Mountains of Zion to the Red Rocks of Utah
The trumpet is about to sound. The Bridegroom is at the door. The wedding feast is prepared.
Your children can be like the thief - saved at the last second.
They can be like the last-hour workers - receiving full reward.
They can be like the wedding guests from the highways - surprised by grace.
But they MUST have oil in their lamps.
They MUST be wearing wedding garments.
They MUST say YES to the invitation.
Do It Now. Tonight. This Moment.
Because tomorrow the door might be shut.
“And while they were going away to make the purchase, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast; and the door was shut.” - Matthew 25:10
Contending for the faith once delivered.
Snatching your children from the fire.
A Modern Voice of Jude
“Little children, it is the last hour.” - 1 John 2:18
“He who testifies to these things says, ‘Yes, I am coming quickly.’ Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.” - Revelation 22:20
P.S. - For the Parent Reading This Through Tears
Your prodigal is not too far gone. The thief was being executed and still made it to Paradise.
Your child living in rebellion, your teen who’s walked away, your young adult who says they don’t believe anymore - the Father is watching the road for them.
Keep your lamp burning. Keep the porch light on. Keep praying.
The wedding feast has empty seats waiting to be filled. One might have your child’s name on it.
“The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.” - 2 Peter 3:9
The door is still open.
But not for long.
Act now.
