Receive the Eternal Mind of Christ as a Gift of Grace
“For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he will instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 2:16)
Jesus Christ, the eternal Word made flesh, is the author of Scripture through the Holy Spirit. The Word is eternal. Truth is eternal. And those born again by the Father’s will alone have been given the eternal mind of Christ.
What if we read the New Testament not merely as historical letters to first-century churches, but as the eternal Christ speaking to all His people across all time—including, and perhaps especially, to those who will face the darkest hour: the Great Tribulation, Jacob’s Trouble, when the world will be shaken as never before?
With the mind of Christ—eternal, unchanging, seeing the end from the beginning—let us read these words as if we are among those final believers, after the harpazo, standing in the fire.

Matthew 5-7: The Sermon for Survivors
The Beatitudes: Blessings for the Broken
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:3)
In the tribulation, when everything is stripped away—possessions, security, perhaps family—you are poor in spirit. This is your blessing. The kingdom is *yours*.
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” (Matthew 5:4)
You will mourn. The world as you knew it is gone. But comfort is coming. He promised.
“Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth.” (Matthew 5:5)
While the beast system demands aggression, violence, worship—you remain gentle. Why? Because you’re inheriting the earth. Not this dying world, but the renewed earth. It’s already yours.
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” (Matthew 5:6)
When you cannot buy or sell without the mark, when you’re starving physically—your hunger for righteousness will be satisfied. He is coming.
“Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great.” (Matthew 5:11-12)
They will call you terrorists. Enemies of peace. Obstacles to unity. They will lie about you. Rejoice. Your reward is great. These words were written for this moment.
The Impossible Standard—Already Met
“Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” (Matthew 5:48)
You cannot achieve this. But Christ already did. His perfection is yours. When you stand before tribunals, when you’re accused, when they say you’re not good enough—remember: His perfection covers you. You’re already accepted.
Do Not Be Anxious
“For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on.” (Matthew 6:25)
When the mark is required for food, when supply chains collapse, when you have nothing—these words are for you.
“Your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” (Matthew 6:32-33)
Seek Him. He will provide. He fed Elijah by ravens. He multiplied loaves. He will feed you.
“So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” (Matthew 6:34)
One day at a time. That’s all you can carry. That’s all He asks.
The Narrow Gate
“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14)
During the tribulation, the wide gate will be obvious: take the mark, worship the beast, blend in, survive. Billions will enter.
The narrow gate? Refuse the mark. Worship Jesus alone. Stand out. Risk death.
Few will find it. You found it. Stay on that narrow way.
John 14-17: Final Words for Final Days
I Will Not Leave You
“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” (John 14:18)
When it feels like the Church is gone, when you feel utterly alone—He has not left you. He *will* come to you.
Peace in Tribulation
“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.” (John 14:27)
The world’s peace is gone. His peace remains. Not circumstantial peace—supernatural peace. The peace that passes understanding while the world collapses.
“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)
You WILL have tribulation. This is not a surprise. This is not punishment. This is what He said would happen. But take courage—He already won.
The Vine and the Branches
“I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5)
When everything external is stripped away—systems, churches, gatherings, resources—this remains: Abide in Him. That’s all. Apart from Him, nothing. In Him, everything.
“If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you.” (John 15:18-19)
Of course they hate you. Of course they hunt you. You don’t belong to this world. He chose you out of it. This hatred is proof you’re His.
His Prayer for You
“I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one.” (John 17:15)
He’s not asking the Father to remove you (not yet). He’s asking the Father to *keep you from the evil one*. You will remain. But you will be protected spiritually. Satan cannot have you.
“They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.” (John 17:16-17)
You are not of this world. The truth sanctifies you. The Word—eternal, unchanging—keeps you anchored when everything else shifts.
Romans 8: Nothing Can Separate You
No Condemnation
“Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1)
When the world condemns you, when governments outlaw your faith, when you’re declared an enemy—there is NO condemnation from God. You are in Christ. You are safe.
The Spirit Bears Witness
“The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God.” (Romans 8:16)
When everything external is stripped away—no church buildings, no Christian community, no confirmation from others—the Spirit still testifies. You know you’re His. That internal witness cannot be taken.
Present Sufferings, Future Glory
“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.” (Romans 8:18)
Your suffering is real. Tribulation is real. Pain is real. But it’s *nothing* compared to what’s coming. Literally not worthy of comparison.
We Wait
“For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.” (Romans 8:24-25)
You’re waiting. You’re enduring. You’re hoping for what you don’t yet see. This is exactly what faith looks like. Persevere. Wait eagerly. He is coming.
The Spirit Intercedes
“In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.” (Romans 8:26)
When you can’t find words, when prayer feels impossible, when you’re too exhausted to form thoughts—the Spirit is interceding. Your groans are heard. Your wordless cries reach the Father.
More Than Conquerors
“But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.” (Romans 8:37)
Not “might conquer.” Not “barely survive.” OVERWHELMINGLY CONQUER. Even if you die. Especially if you die. Death is not defeat. Death is victory.
Nothing Can Separate
“For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)
The beast? Cannot separate you.
The false prophet? Cannot separate you.
Persecution? Cannot separate you.
Martyrdom? Cannot separate you.
Nothing in this tribulation—NOTHING—can separate you from His love.
1 Corinthians 15: Death Is Swallowed Up
The Resurrection
“But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep.” (1 Corinthians 15:20)
If you die during the tribulation, this is your certainty: Christ rose. You will rise. Death is not the end. It’s sleep before resurrection.
The Last Enemy
“The last enemy that will be abolished is death.” (1 Corinthians 15:26)
Death feels like it’s winning during tribulation. It’s not. It’s being abolished. Its days are numbered. You might experience it, but you will not remain in it.
Victory
“But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, ‘Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?’” (1 Corinthians 15:54-55)
They can kill your body. They cannot touch your eternal life. Death has no sting for you. The grave has no victory. You’re already victorious.
Stand Firm
“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 15:58)
In the chaos of tribulation: Be steadfast. Be immovable. Keep serving Him. It is NOT in vain. Every act of faithfulness matters eternally.
2 Corinthians 4-5: Light Affliction
Treasure in Earthen Vessels
“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves.” (2 Corinthians 4:7)
You are weak. You are breakable. You are fragile. Perfect. Because then it’s obvious: the power sustaining you is His, not yours.
Afflicted But Not Crushed
“We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.” (2 Corinthians 4:8-9)
This will be your testimony during tribulation:
Afflicted? Yes. Crushed? No.
Perplexed? Yes. Despairing? No.
Persecuted? Yes. Forsaken? Never.
Struck down? Yes. Destroyed? Impossible.
Momentary, Light Affliction
“For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison.” (2 Corinthians 4:17)
From an eternal perspective—which you have, because you have the mind of Christ—even the Great Tribulation is *momentary*. Even the worst suffering is *light*. Because what it’s producing is an *eternal weight of glory* that makes it all worth it.
Seeing the Unseen
“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” (2 Corinthians 4:18)
What you see: chaos, death, persecution, the mark, the beast.
What you don’t see: Christ interceding, angels surrounding, your eternal home being prepared, your resurrection body waiting.
Focus on what you don’t see. It’s more real.
Absent from the Body, Present with the Lord
“Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord… we prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 5:6, 8)
If they kill you? You’re immediately with Him. No waiting. No purgatory. No soul sleep. Absent from the body, present with the Lord.
This is why martyrdom is not tragedy. It’s promotion.
Philippians: Joy in Chains
To Live Is Christ, To Die Is Gain
“For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” (Philippians 1:21)
Paul wrote this from prison, facing potential execution. It’s the perfect verse for tribulation saints:
If you survive? You live for Christ.
If you die? You gain. You win either way.
Do Not Be Frightened
“In no way alarmed by your opponents—which is a sign of destruction for them, but of salvation for you, and that too, from God.” (Philippians 1:28)
When the world system comes against you—do not be frightened. Their opposition is proof of their destruction and your salvation. Your fearlessness is evidence you belong to God.
The Mind of Christ
“Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant… He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.” (Philippians 2:5-8)
With the mind of Christ, you can embrace the same path: humility, servanthood, obedience to death. He walked it first. You’re walking in His footsteps.
Rejoice Always
“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!” (Philippians 4:4)
In the tribulation? Rejoice. Not because of circumstances. In the Lord. He hasn’t changed. He’s still worthy. Rejoice.
Do Not Be Anxious
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
Cannot buy food? Pray.
Being hunted? Pray.
Facing death? Pray.
And the peace—the incomprehensible, supernatural peace—will guard your heart and mind.
I Can Do All Things
“I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)
Not in your strength. In His. He will strengthen you for whatever you face. Even beheading. Even fire. Even lions (again). He strengthens.
Hebrews: Endure
The Pioneer of Our Faith
“Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:2)
He endured the cross by focusing on the joy beyond it. You endure the tribulation the same way: eyes fixed on Him, on the joy coming, on the throne He’s sitting on right now.
You Have Not Yet Resisted to the Point of Bloodshed
“You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood in your striving against sin.” (Hebrews 12:4)
Many tribulation saints will resist to the point of blood. This verse was written for you. Jesus shed His blood. You may shed yours. It’s the fellowship of His sufferings.
Endure Discipline
“It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons… All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.” (Hebrews 12:7, 11)
The tribulation is not random. It’s refining. It’s training. It’s producing righteousness. Endure it as discipline from a loving Father.
You Have Come to Mount Zion
“But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant.” (Hebrews 12:22-24)
Even when you feel utterly alone on earth—you’re surrounded by a heavenly assembly. You’re part of something massive. You’re not alone.
Here We Do Not Have a Lasting City
“For here we do not have a lasting city, but we are seeking the city which is to come.” (Hebrews 13:14)
The world is collapsing. Let it. It was never your home anyway. Your city is coming.
James: Consider It All Joy
Trials Produce Endurance
“Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” (James 1:2-4)
The greatest trials in human history produce the greatest endurance. You will be perfected through this. Complete. Lacking nothing.
Blessed Is the Man Who Perseveres
“Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.” (James 1:12)
Persevere. The crown is waiting. It has your name on it.
1 Peter: You Are a Chosen Race
Tested by Fire
“In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” (1 Peter 1:6-7)
Your faith is being tested by fire. Literal fire, perhaps. The result? Praise, glory, honor when Jesus is revealed. Worth it.
Do Not Be Surprised
“Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you; but to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing, so that also at the revelation of His glory you may rejoice with exultation.” (1 Peter 4:12-13)
The tribulation is not strange. It’s not unexpected. It’s not a sign God abandoned you. It’s you sharing in Christ’s sufferings. Rejoice in this fellowship.
The God of All Grace
“After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.” (1 Peter 5:10)
After you suffer—and you will—God Himself will perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. You’re not holding on to Him. He’s holding on to you.
1 John: Perfect Love Casts Out Fear
Do Not Love the World
“Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.” (1 John 2:15-17)
The world is passing away. Right before your eyes. Don’t cling to it. It’s already dead. You live forever.
No Fear in Love
“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.” (1 John 4:18)
When you’re facing the beast system, when threats surround you—remember: His perfect love casts out fear. You are loved perfectly. Fear has no place.
This Is the Victory
“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” (1 John 5:4)
Your faith IS the victory. Not future victory. Present victory. You’ve already overcome because you believe. The tribulation cannot defeat faith.
Revelation: To Him Who Overcomes
The Seven Churches: Overcomers Rewarded
Jesus repeatedly says to the churches: “To him who overcomes…”
“To him who overcomes, I will grant to eat of the tree of life” (Revelation 2:7)
“He who overcomes will not be hurt by the second death” (Revelation 2:11)
“To him who overcomes… I will give a white stone, and a new name” (Revelation 2:17)
“He who overcomes… I will give authority over the nations” (Revelation 2:26)
“He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments” (Revelation 3:5)
“He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God” (Revelation 3:12)
“He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne” (Revelation 3:21)
You are overcoming. The rewards are waiting.
The Martyrs Under the Altar
“When the Lamb broke the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God, and because of the testimony which they had maintained; and they cried out with a loud voice, saying, ‘How long, O Lord, holy and true, will You refrain from judging and avenging our blood on those who dwell on the earth?’ And there was given to each of them a white robe; and they were told that they should rest for a little while longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brethren who were to be killed even as they had been, would be completed also.” (Revelation 6:9-11)
If you are martyred, you join this company. You receive a white robe. You rest. And you wait for the completion—which is coming soon.
The Great Multitude
“After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands… These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” (Revelation 7:9, 14)
This is YOU. Coming out of the great tribulation. Clothed in white. Standing before the throne. Victorious.
They Overcame by the Blood of the Lamb
“And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death.” (Revelation 12:11)
This is how you overcome the accuser:
The blood of the Lamb (already done—you’re covered)
The word of your testimony (you testify to Jesus)
You do not love your life even unto death (you’re willing to die)
You meet all three criteria. You overcome.
Blessed Are the Dead
“And I heard a voice from heaven, saying, ‘Write, “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on!”’ ‘Yes,’ says the Spirit, ‘so that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow with them.’” (Revelation 14:13)
If you die during the tribulation, you are BLESSED. You rest. Your deeds follow you. Death is not defeat. It’s blessing.
They Will Reign Forever
“There will no longer be any night; and they will not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God will illumine them; and they will reign forever and ever.” (Revelation 22:5)
After the tribulation? You reign. Forever. With Him.
The Eternal Word for Those in the Fire
The New Testament was written by the eternal Christ, through the Holy Spirit, for all His people across all time. But perhaps nowhere does it speak more directly, more powerfully, more relevantly than to those who will face the final hour.
Every promise was written for you.
Every comfort was crafted for your darkest moment.
Every assurance was designed for when you need it most.
You have the mind of Christ. Think with it. You see from eternity. This tribulation is momentary.
You have the Word of God. It is eternal. It will not pass away even when heaven and earth pass away. Stand on it.
You have the Holy Spirit. He will guide you, comfort you, intercede for you, sustain you.
You have salvation. It’s not dependent on your performance. It’s secure in Christ. Nothing can take it.
You have a mission. Testify. Endure. Overcome. Not in your strength—in His.
You have a promise. He is coming. Soon. Very soon.
“He who testifies to these things says, ‘Yes, I am coming quickly.’ Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.” (Revelation 22:20)
Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
You will make it. Not because you’re strong, but because He is faithful.
“Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.” (Jude 24-25)
He is able to keep you.
Stand firm. The eternal Word has spoken.
Your eternal mind knows it’s true.
And your eternal life is secure.
Nothing can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Nothing.
