What is Christian Nationalism?
A Personal Word from Craig and Wendy Rogers
We come to you with hearts both heavy and hopeful as we share what the Lord has impressed upon us during these last days. As believers who have walked with Jesus, we have watched with increasing concern as the church has drifted from the pure worship of Christ alone into the dangerous waters of mixed worship.
Our Journey to This Understanding
Like many of you, we once believed that being a "good Christian" meant supporting "Christian" political movements and working to make America a "Christian nation." We pledged allegiance to flags in church services, believing we were honoring God. We trusted in political leaders who claimed to represent Christian values, thinking they could bring about God's kingdom on earth.
But the Holy Spirit began to convict our hearts. As we studied Scripture with fresh eyes, asking God to show us truth rather than confirming our traditions, we discovered something shocking: Jesus never established a political movement, never sought earthly kingship, and explicitly declared His kingdom was "not of this world."
The Painful Reality We Must Face
The same religious-political alliance that crucified our Lord Jesus Christ is alive and active today (Babylon). Just as the Pharisees and Pilate conspired together against the Truth, we see modern religious leaders joining hands with political powers, creating a system that appears Christian but actually opposes the pure Gospel of Christ.
We've watched as:
- Churches display national flags alongside Christian symbols
- Believers defend political positions as if they were Gospel truth
- "Christian nationalism" replaces citizenship in heaven
- Political rallies take on the atmosphere of religious revivals
- Human leaders are elevated to messianic status
This breaks our hearts because we know where this leads: the same place it led in Jesus' day—the crucifixion of truth.
Why We Must Speak
We cannot remain silent while precious souls are being deceived. We've seen too many believers whose passion for political causes has surpassed their love for Jesus. We've witnessed churches split over earthly kingdoms while neglecting the eternal Kingdom of God.
The document you're about to read isn't theory—it's the fruit of our own painful journey from mixed worship to pure worship of Christ alone. Every Scripture contained within has been tested in our own lives as God called us out of the religious-political system and into complete allegiance to Jesus Christ.
What This Means for You
As you read these words, the Holy Spirit may convict you as He did us. You may realize that your hope has been divided between Christ and earthly systems. You may see that your worship has been mixed with patriotism, politics, or religious tradition.
This isn't about becoming unpatriotic or uncaring about our communities. This is about recognizing that we are citizens of heaven first, ambassadors of Christ in a foreign land, strangers and pilgrims who seek a better country—a heavenly one.
Our Urgent Warning
Time is short. The Harpazo (rapture) approaches, and only those who worship Christ alone—not Christ plus America, Christ plus politics, Christ plus religious systems—will be caught up to meet Him in the air. Those caught in mixed worship will remain for the tribulation period and face the deception of the coming Beast system.
This isn't a message we wanted to bring. It would be easier to remain silent, to go along with the crowd, to continue mixing our faith with worldly allegiances. But we love you too much to let you be deceived, and we love Jesus too much to let His Gospel be polluted with human additions.
Our Prayer for You
We pray that as we all read truth from from Scripture, the Holy Spirit will:
- Open your eyes to see the difference between pure and mixed worship
- Convict your heart of any divided loyalties
- Call you out of religious-political systems into Christ alone
- Prepare you for His soon return
- Make you willing to be hated by this world for His name's sake
We know this message will cost us friendships. We know religious and political leaders will oppose these truths. We know we'll be labeled as "unpatriotic" or "extreme." But we'd rather be rejected by men and accepted by Christ than approved by the world and found wanting at His appearing.
The Choice Before Us All
Every believer faces this choice: Will you worship Christ alone, or will you continue in mixed worship? Will your citizenship be in heaven, or will you remain entangled with earthly kingdoms? Will you be ready for the Harpazo, or will you be left behind to face what's coming upon the earth?
These aren't comfortable questions, but they are necessary ones. Eternity hangs in the balance.
We don't ask you to take our word for anything. Search the Scriptures for yourself. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you truth, even if it contradicts what you've always believed. Be willing to follow Christ wherever He leads, even if it means standing alone.
With Love and Urgency,
Craig and Wendy Rogers
"Choose you this day whom ye will serve... but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." - Joshua 24:15
P.S. - If this message stirs your heart, we encourage you to share it with others who need to hear this hard truth. Time is short, and many are perishing for lack of knowledge. May God use these words to call His people out of Babylon and into the pure worship of Jesus Christ alone.
Christ Alone vs Religious-Political Systems
John 4:23-24 - "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."
Matthew 4:10 - "Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve."
The Hebrew and Greek Understanding
Old Testament - "Shachah" - To bow down, prostrate oneself, show reverence New Testament - "Proskuneo" - To kiss toward, to prostrate oneself in homage, to reverence, adore, worship
Revelation 4:10-11 - "The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created."
Worship in Spirit and Truth vs External Forms
1 Samuel 16:7 - "But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart."
Isaiah 29:13 - "Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:"
Mark 7:6-7 - "He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men."
THE RELIGIOUS-POLITICAL ALLIANCE THAT KILLED JESUS
The Pharisees and Sadducees - Religious Power
Matthew 23:1-3 - "Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not."
Matthew 23:13 - "But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in."
John 11:47-48 - "Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles. If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation."
Pontius Pilate - Political Power
John 18:36 - "Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence."
John 19:10-11 - "Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee? Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin."
Matthew 27:24 - "When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it."
The Coordinated Conspiracy
Acts 4:25-28 - "Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things? The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ. For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done."
Luke 23:12 - "And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together: for before they were at enmity between themselves."
John 11:53 - "Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death."
JESUS - NOT A POLITICAL MOVEMENT OR RELIGION
Jesus is God - The Word Made Flesh
John 1:1 - "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
John 1:14 - "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."
Colossians 2:9 - "For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily."
Hebrews 1:3 - "Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;"
Jesus Rejected Earthly Kingship
John 6:15 - "When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone."
John 18:36 - "Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence."
Luke 12:13-14 - "And one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me. And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you?"
Jesus Founded No Political Movement
Matthew 28:18-20 - "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."
Acts 1:6-8 - "When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."
BELIEVERS ARE CITIZENS OF HEAVEN - NOT OF EARTHLY NATIONS
Our Citizenship is in Heaven
Philippians 3:20 - "For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:"
Ephesians 2:19 - "Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;"
Hebrews 11:13-16 - "These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city."
We Are Ambassadors of Christ
2 Corinthians 5:20 - "Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God."
1 Peter 2:11 - "Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;"
John 17:14-16 - "I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world."
We Are Not of This World
John 15:18-19 - "If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you."
James 4:4 - "Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God."
1 John 2:15-17 - "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever."
THE DANGER OF CHRISTIAN NATIONALISM VS CHRIST ALONE
No Such Thing as a "Christian Nation"
John 18:36 - "Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence."
Daniel 2:44 - "And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever."
Revelation 11:15 - "And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever."
The Babel Pattern - Human Attempts at Godly Government
Genesis 11:4 - "And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth."
1 Samuel 8:6-7 - "But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the LORD. And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them."
The Beast System - Religious-Political Unity
Revelation 13:1-4 - "And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?"
Revelation 13:11-12 - "And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed."
WHAT WORSHIP LOOKS LIKE TODAY - TRUE VS FALSE
False Worship in Modern Christianity
Worshipping Country/Flag/Nation:
Pledging allegiance to earthly flags in churches
Making America or any nation the focus of salvation
Believing political parties can bring God's kingdom
Mixing patriotism with worship of Christ
Worshipping Politicians/Leaders:
Making political leaders into messiah figures
Believing human leaders can save the nation/world
Defending political positions as if they were Gospel truth
Following political movements as if they were spiritual revivals
Worshipping Religious Systems:
Making denominations or organizations the focus
Following human interpretations over Scripture alone
Creating man-made traditions that nullify God's Word
Building religious empires instead of serving Christ
True Worship of Christ Alone
Romans 12:1 - "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service."
Colossians 3:17 - "And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him."
1 Corinthians 10:31 - "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God."
Characteristics of True Worship:
Heart Surrender - Complete submission to Christ's lordship
Scripture Alone - God's Word as final authority, not human leaders
Spirit-Led - Guided by Holy Spirit, not political movements
Heavenly Focus - Eyes on eternal kingdom, not earthly governments
Love for Enemies - Following Christ's commands, not political hatred
Truth Above All - Speaking God's truth regardless of political consequences
THE HARPAZO - FOR THOSE WHO WORSHIP CHRIST ALONE
The Blessed Hope
Titus 2:13 - "Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;"
1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 - "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words."
1 Corinthians 15:51-52 - "Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."
Who Will Be in the First Harpazo?
Those Who Worship Christ Alone:
Revelation 3:10 - "Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth."
Luke 21:36 - "Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man."
Not Those Caught in False Worship:
Those worshipping nations, politics, or religious systems
Those trusting in human leaders for salvation
Those mixing Gospel with political movements
Those whose citizenship is earthly, not heavenly
The Great Apostasy Left Behind
2 Thessalonians 2:3 - "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;"
1 Timothy 4:1 - "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;"
2 Timothy 3:5 - "Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away."
THE CLEAR DIVISION
Two Kingdoms
Matthew 6:24 - "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and
mammon."
Christ's Kingdom:
Spiritual and eternal
Not of this world
Citizens are born again believers
Rules through love and truth
Established by God's power
World's Kingdom:
Physical and temporal
Of this world system
Citizens are natural birth
Rules through force and deception
Established by human power
The Choice is Clear
Joshua 24:15 - "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."
1 Kings 18:21 - "And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word."
PURE WORSHIP VS MIXED WORSHIP
PURE WORSHIP - CHRIST ALONE:
Worships Jesus Christ as God and King
Recognizes no earthly saviors or systems
Lives as citizens of heaven on earth
Follows Scripture alone as authority
Awaits Christ's return and rapture
Refuses to bow to any earthly power
MIXED WORSHIP - CHRIST + POLITICS/NATION/RELIGION:
Worships Christ but also trusts earthly systems
Believes political movements can establish God's kingdom
Lives as citizens of earth who happen to believe in Jesus
Mixes human wisdom with Scripture
Trusts in political solutions and human leaders
Bows to earthly powers while claiming to serve God
THE BIBLICAL WARNING: Those who worship Christ alone will be raptured before the great tribulation. Those caught in mixed worship - trusting in political systems, national movements, or religious organizations alongside Christ - will remain to face the coming judgment and be susceptible to the Beast system's deception.
THE CALL: "Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues." (Revelation 18:4)
True worship is Christ alone - not Christ plus America, Christ plus politics, Christ plus any human system. Only those who worship in spirit and truth, with complete allegiance to Christ's heavenly kingdom, will escape what is coming upon the earth.
