What if Trump Had Repented Yesterday?
The Speech That Chould Have Been
A Cry for God’s Kingdom to Come to Earth
October 13, 2025 - Reimagined Through the Commands of Christ
What Actually Happened
On October 13, 2025, President Donald Trump addressed the Israeli Knesset and later signed a peace agreement with over 30 world leaders in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.
In his actual speeches, Trump:
- Declared himself a peacemaker
- Took credit for ending the war
- Praised his own negotiation skills
- Thanked his team (Kushner, Witkoff, Rubio, Hegseth)
- Celebrated military victories
- Asked for Netanyahu to be pardoned
- Said “Israel, with our help, has won”
- Called it “the golden age of Israel”
- Never mentioned Jesus Christ
- Never gave glory to God
- Never called for repentance
- Never acknowledged humanity’s need for the Savior
What follows is what SHOULD have been said - a complete reimagining of Trump’s speeches through the lens of Christ’s commands, embodying total humility, brokenness, repentance, and a desperate cry for God’s Kingdom to come.

Address to the Knesset
Jerusalem, Israel - October 13, 2025
[Trump enters, but instead of the proud walk, he enters humbly, head bowed]
Mr. Speaker, President Herzog, Prime Minister Netanyahu, Members of the Knesset, and citizens of Israel:
I come before you today not as a conqueror, not as a great negotiator, not as a peacemaker - but as a broken man, representing a broken humanity, crying out to the only One who can truly bring peace to this earth.
For 6,000 years, we have tried to make peace in our own strength. For 6,000 years, we have failed.
Today, I stand before you to confess that truth. To repent of that truth. And to call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ - the Prince of Peace, the King of Kings, the ONLY source of true and lasting peace.
[Pauses, visibly emotional]
-----
Confession and Repentance
Let me begin by acknowledging what should have been acknowledged long ago:
Jesus Christ is Lord over Israel. Jesus Christ is Lord over America. Jesus Christ is Lord over every nation represented in this peace agreement. And we have rejected Him.
“If My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).
Today, I humble myself. Today, I call my nation to humble itself. Today, I call Israel to humble herself. Today, I call every nation to humble themselves before the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob - who sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to be the Savior of the world.
[Trump kneels at the podium]
I kneel before you, not because of you, but because of Him. I kneel in repentance for my pride. For my arrogance. For the countless times I have exalted myself when all glory belongs to God alone.
“Whoever exalts himself shall be humbled; and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted” (Matthew 23:12).
I have exalted myself. I have taken credit that belongs to God. I have built towers to my own name. I have sought my own glory. I have lived for myself.
I repent.
-----
Repentance for America
I stand before you today representing the United States of America - and I must confess our sins.
We have removed God from our schools.
We have removed God from our government.
We have removed God from our public square.
We have called evil good and good evil.
We have murdered millions of unborn children.
We have celebrated sexual immorality.
We have worshiped money, power, and fame.
We have made idols of technology, entertainment, and ourselves.
“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments” (John 14:15).
America has not kept His commandments. America has not loved Him. America has gone her own way, and we have reaped destruction.
On behalf of my nation, I repent. I beg for God’s mercy. I plead for His forgiveness.
-----
Repentance for Israel
Israel, you are God’s chosen people. He made an everlasting covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He brought you back to this land in fulfillment of prophecy. He has never forgotten you.
But you have rejected your Messiah.
Two thousand years ago, Jesus Christ - Yeshua HaMashiach - came to His own people. And His own people did not receive Him (John 1:11).
He came in fulfillment of every prophecy. Born in Bethlehem. Of the line of David. Performing miracles and signs. Teaching with authority. Dying on a Roman cross for the sins of the world. Rising from the dead on the third day.
And yet… “We did not esteem Him” (Isaiah 53:3).
I do not come to you as a Gentile condemning you. I come as one who acknowledges that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) - Gentile and Jew alike.
But I must speak the truth in love:
Jesus is your Messiah. Jesus is Israel’s King. And the day is coming when you will say, “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” (Matthew 23:39).
Today, I pray that day would come soon. Today, I plead with you to recognize your King.
-----
Repentance for All Humanity
But this is not just about America or Israel. This is about all humanity.
For 6,000 years, mankind has tried to build kingdoms without God.
We built Babel - God scattered us.
We built Egypt - God brought us out.
We built Assyria and Babylon - God brought them down.
We built Greece and Rome - they fell to dust.
We have built modern nations - and we are killing each other.
Every kingdom built by human hands will crumble. The ONLY Kingdom that will stand forever is the Kingdom of God.
“Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” (Matthew 6:33).
We have not sought His Kingdom. We have sought our own. We have sought power, wealth, security, and glory for ourselves.
And where has it gotten us?
67,000 Palestinians dead in Gaza.
1,200 Israelis dead on October 7, 2023.
Two years of suffering, death, destruction, and pain.
Hostages held captive. Families torn apart. Children traumatized. Mothers weeping. Fathers grieving.
And this is just ONE conflict. This doesn’t count Iran. Iraq. Syria. Or Yemen. Or Sudan. Or Congo. Or Ukraine. Or the countless conflicts raging around the world.
Humanity has failed. We cannot save ourselves. We need a Savior.
-----
The Only True Peacemaker
Today, hostages have been released. Today, a ceasefire has been signed. Today, we are told “peace has come to the Middle East.”
But let me be brutally honest with you: I did not bring peace. My team did not bring peace. America’s military might did not bring peace.
Any cessation of violence that has occurred is because God, in His mercy, has granted it. Any life that has been spared is because God, in His sovereignty, has allowed it. Any agreement that has been reached is because God, in His providence, has ordained it.
“Unless the LORD builds the house, they labor in vain who build it” (Psalm 127:1).
We did not build this peace. If there is any peace at all, it is because God built it - and we are merely His instruments, unworthy servants doing what was commanded of us.
Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you” (John 14:27).
The peace the world gives is temporary. Fragile. Built on sand. It lasts a moment and then crumbles.
Only Jesus can give true peace. Only Jesus can heal the hatred. Only Jesus can reconcile enemies. Only Jesus can bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free.
“For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall” (Ephesians 2:14).
-----
A Cry for God’s Kingdom
And so, today, I do not come to celebrate what we have done. I come to cry out for what only HE can do.
[Voice breaking with emotion]
“Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10).
Lord Jesus, we need Your Kingdom! We need Your rule! We need Your reign! We need Your justice! We need Your righteousness! We need Your love! We need YOUR PEACE!
For 6,000 years, we have proven that we cannot govern ourselves. We cannot make peace. We cannot love our enemies. We cannot forgive those who wrong us. We cannot stop killing each other.
We need You.
“Come, Lord Jesus!” (Revelation 22:20).
I call upon heaven today. I call upon the God of Israel. I call upon the Maker of heaven and earth. I call upon the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit:
SEND YOUR KINGDOM TO EARTH!
We have had enough of man’s kingdoms. We have had enough of human governments. We have had enough of our wars, our treaties, our agreements that last five years and then dissolve into violence again.
We need Your everlasting Kingdom!
“In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed, and that kingdom will not be left for another people; it will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, but it will itself endure forever” (Daniel 2:44).
Come and crush our failed kingdoms! Come and establish Yours! Come and rule from Jerusalem! Come and bring justice to the earth! Come and wipe away every tear! Come and end all suffering! Come and make all things new!
-----
A Call to Israel
Israel, I speak to you with trembling and with love:
Your King is coming.
The One you pierced is returning. The One you rejected will reign from this very city. The One who wept over Jerusalem will return to Jerusalem.
“Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him” (Revelation 1:7).
The question is not IF He is coming. The question is: Will you be ready?
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me” (Revelation 3:20).
Today, Jesus is knocking on Israel’s door. Today, He is calling you to recognize Him. Today, He is pleading with you to receive Him.
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name” (John 1:12).
Receive Him, Israel! Believe in His name! Recognize your Messiah!
-----
A Call to the Nations
To every nation represented in this peace agreement:
This covenant we have signed today is not the answer. It is a band-aid on a mortal wound. It is a temporary pause in an eternal problem.
The answer is Jesus Christ.
Every nation must bow to Him. Every knee will bow to Him. Every tongue will confess that He is Lord.
“Therefore God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9-11).
You can bow now willingly - and receive mercy.
Or you can bow later by force - and receive judgment.
Choose today whom you will serve.
“Choose for yourselves today whom you will serve… but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD” (Joshua 24:15).
I call upon every leader, every government, every nation: Serve the Lord Jesus Christ! Acknowledge Him as King! Submit to His authority! Obey His commands!
Stop trusting in military might. Stop trusting in economic power. Stop trusting in human wisdom and strength.
“Some boast in chariots and some in horses, but we will boast in the name of the LORD, our God” (Psalm 20:7).
Boast in the name of Jesus! Trust in His power! Rely on His strength! Depend on His wisdom!
-----
A Call to Myself
And finally, I must speak to myself.
Donald Trump, you have lived 79 years for yourself. You have sought your own glory. You have built your empire. You have exalted your name.
It is all worthless.
“For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul?” (Mark 8:36).
I have gained much of the world. I have built towers bearing my name. I have accumulated wealth and power and fame. But if I lose my soul, what good is any of it?
Today, I lay it all down. Today, I surrender it all to Jesus. Today, I say with Paul:
“But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ. More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ” (Philippians 3:7-8).
My towers are rubbish. My wealth is rubbish. My fame is rubbish. My power is rubbish.
Jesus is everything.
And so today, I say to Him: I am Yours. Do with me as You will. Use me for Your glory or cast me aside. I deserve nothing. But I beg for Your mercy.
“God, be merciful to me, the sinner!” (Luke 18:13).
-----
The Gospel
And now, to anyone listening who does not know Jesus Christ:
You need Him.
Not next week. Not when you get your life together. Not when you feel worthy. You need Him right now.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
You are a sinner. I am a sinner. Every person in this room is a sinner. Every person on this planet is a sinner.
And the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). We deserve death. We deserve judgment. We deserve hell.
But God loves us anyway.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
Jesus Christ, the sinless Son of God, took your sin upon Himself. He went to the cross in your place. He died the death you deserved. He paid the penalty for your sin.
And then He rose from the dead, conquering sin, death, and hell!
“He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him” (John 3:36).
You must believe. You must receive. You must confess. You must repent.
“If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9).
Confess Him as Lord right now. Believe in your heart right now. Repent of your sins right now. Receive His salvation right now.
Because tomorrow may be too late.
“Behold, now is ‘THE ACCEPTABLE TIME,’ behold, now is ‘THE DAY OF SALVATION’” (2 Corinthians 6:2).

The Prayer
[Trump falls to his knees, weeping]
Let me pray:
Father in Heaven, Holy and Righteous God:
We come before You as broken people from broken nations. We confess our sins. We acknowledge our failures. We admit our desperate need for Your Son, Jesus Christ.
Forgive us, Father. Forgive America for rejecting You. Forgive Israel for rejecting Messiah. Forgive the nations for worshiping idols. Forgive me for my pride and arrogance.
Wash us clean by the blood of Jesus.
And now, Father, we cry out: Send Your Kingdom to earth! We have failed to govern ourselves. We need Your perfect government. We need Jesus to reign as King.
“Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
Come, Lord Jesus. Come quickly. Establish Your throne in Jerusalem. Rule over Israel. Rule over all nations. Bring justice. Bring righteousness. Bring true peace.
Until that day, help us to obey Your commands. Help us to love You with all our hearts. Help us to love our neighbors as ourselves. Help us to be lights in this dark world.
All glory to You, Father. All honor to Jesus. All praise to the Holy Spirit. Forever and ever.
In Jesus’ mighty name,
Amen.
[Trump remains on his knees, overcome with emotion. The Knesset is completely silent.]
-----
[After a long moment, Trump stands, tears streaming down his face]
I have one final word:
To the families of the hostages who have been returned: I rejoice with you. But I pray you would rejoice even more in Jesus Christ, who can never be taken from you.
To the families who lost loved ones: I weep with you. But I pray you would find comfort in Jesus Christ, who promises to wipe away every tear.
To the people of Gaza who have suffered unimaginable loss: I mourn with you. But I pray you would find hope in Jesus Christ, who came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free.
To the people of Israel: I love you with the love of Christ. But I plead with you: recognize your Messiah before it is too late.
To the nations: Stop your wars. Lay down your weapons. Bend your knees to King Jesus.
And to everyone: Choose Jesus. Choose life. Choose eternal salvation. Choose today.
“I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live” (Deuteronomy 30:19).
Choose Jesus. Choose life.
May God have mercy on us all.
[Trump exits, weeping]
