Where are the Children in the Harpazo?

Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it."

A Biblical Investigation and Urgent Warning for Parents and Families

1 Corinthians 15:52 "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed."

September 2025: The Feast of Trumpets and the Final Call?

Matthew 24:36 "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone."

An Invitation to Search the Scriptures

Acts 17:11 "Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so."

Dear parents, grandparents, pastors, Bible teachers, and all who love and defend God’s precious children and His life-giving Word,

2 Timothy 2:15 "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth."

This investigation is not an attempt to set dates for the Harpazo. Quite the opposite - it is a call to point all people, especially believers and followers of Jesus Christ, particularly those who are parents of children, directly to the Bible and the Word of God.

Matthew 19:14 "But Jesus said, 'Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.'"

I am sharing here exactly what I found through careful examination of Scripture, insisting the Word to interpret itself.

1 John 4:1 "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world."

I believe it is up to each person, each child of God, each parent to search the Scriptures for themselves and to seek God and His Kingdom above all else.

1 Thessalonians 5:21 "But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good."

DO NOT TAKE MY WORD FOR ANYTHING. DO NOT PLACE YOUR ETERNITY IN THE HANDS OF ANY MAN, ESPECIALLY ME.

John 16:13 "But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come."

Take this message to the Lord in prayer. Study these passages for yourself.

1 John 2:27 "As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him."

Let the Holy Spirit be your teacher.

Matthew 18:6 "But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a heavy millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depth of the sea."

If what I have found in my due diligence is wrong or inaccurate, then please point it out using the Scriptures. Love me enough to teach me from God’s Word. If I am mistaken, at least I am walking in obedience because I am watching, looking, and seeking the Kingdom of God with all my heart, mind, and soul.

Matthew 24:42 "Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming."

I will not be saved by my biblical or prophetic knowledge, but by the Grace of God alone, by Jesus’ blood alone, by the washing and regeneration of the Word alone. Jesus is the only answer - not human wisdom, not scholarly interpretations, not denominational traditions, but Christ alone.

Matthew 6:33 "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."

So, search the Scriptures. Seek His face. Watch and pray, and then wait, He will answer. Test everything you see and hear against the Word of God, and trust Jesus.

Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast."

The Question That Demands an Answer

As the biblical timeline approaches what appears to be God’s appointed moment for the Harpazo (the catching away of the Bride), one question burns in the hearts of every parent and grandparent: What happens to the children?

Jeremiah 29:13 "You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart."

Matthew 26:41 "Keep watching and praying that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."

If the Feast of Trumpets in September 2025 marks the fulfillment of Jesus’s prophetic declaration that “no one knows the day or the hour” - referring specifically to the Jewish understanding of this feast requiring eyewitness confirmation of the new moon - then we stand at the threshold of the most significant event in human history since the resurrection.

Isaiah 8:20 "To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because they have no dawn."

Psalm 119:105 "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."

This investigation examines what Scripture alone reveals about children in the Harpazo, using the Bible as its own interpreter, free from the leaven of human scholarship that has obscured these vital truths.

Malachi 4:6 "He will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, so that I will not come and smite the land with a curse."

Luke 18:16 "But Jesus called for them, saying, 'Permit the children to come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.'"

The implications are staggering: innocent children appear destined for rescue regardless of their parents’ spiritual condition, while lukewarm and unbelieving parents face the horrifying prospect of separation from their beloved children during the Great Tribulation.

2 Peter 1:20-21 "But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God."

The Nature of Children According to Jesus

Jesus’s teachings about children reveal their unique spiritual status before God. When the disciples attempted to prevent children from approaching Him, Jesus responded with divine authority: “Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” (Matthew 19:14). This declaration uses present tense - the kingdom of heaven currently belongs to children, not conditionally based on future faith decisions.

Mark 10:14-15 "But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, 'Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.'"

The Lord further established children’s protected status by declaring, “See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven continually see the face of My Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 18:10). Children possess direct angelic representation before the throne of God, indicating their secure position in His heart and purposes.

Matthew 18:10 "See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven continually see the face of My Father who is in heaven."

When Jesus taught about entering the kingdom of heaven, He consistently used children as the standard: “Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 18:3). The prerequisite for adults entering God’s kingdom is to become like those who already belong to it - children.

Matthew 18:3 "And said, 'Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.'"

The Age of Accountability Principle

Scripture consistently recognizes a distinction between those who can discern good and evil and those who cannot. The prophet Isaiah spoke of a time when a child “knows enough to refuse evil and choose good” (Isaiah 7:15-16), indicating a developmental threshold for moral accountability.

Isaiah 7:15-16 "He will eat curds and honey at the time He knows enough to refuse evil and choose good. For before the boy will know enough to refuse evil and choose good, the land whose two kings you dread will be forsaken."

When God judged the rebellious generation in the wilderness, He specifically excluded “your little ones who you said would become a prey, and your sons, who this day have no knowledge of good or evil” (Deuteronomy 1:39). These children entered the Promised Land while their parents perished in the wilderness.

Deuteronomy 1:39 "Moreover, your little ones who you said would become a prey, and your sons, who this day have no knowledge of good or evil, they shall enter there, and I will give it to them and they shall possess it."

God’s character toward innocents appears clearly in His word to Jonah: “Should I not have compassion on Nineveh, the great city in which there are more than 120,000 persons who do not know the difference between their right and left hand?” (Jonah 4:11). Divine mercy specifically extends to those incapable of moral distinction.

Jonah 4:11 "Should I not have compassion on Nineveh, the great city in which there are more than 120,000 persons who do not know the difference between their right and left hand, as well as many animals?"

Biblical Patterns of Family Rescue and Protection

Throughout Scripture, God’s judgments often include provisions for entire family units under the covering of righteous leadership. When Noah entered the ark, God commanded, “Enter the ark, you and all your household” (Genesis 7:1). Noah’s faith provided covering for his entire family, regardless of their individual spiritual conditions.

The Passover established the clearest pattern: “a lamb for a household… according to what each can eat” (Exodus 12:3-4). The lamb’s blood protected entire households, with children covered under their father’s obedience and faith. No child needed to apply the blood individually - the head of household’s action secured the family’s protection.

When angels rescued Lot from Sodom’s destruction, they instructed him: “Whom else have you here? A son-in-law, and your sons, and your daughters, and whomever you have in the city, bring them out of this place” (Genesis 19:12). God’s rescue extended to Lot’s entire family unit.

Rahab’s household salvation demonstrates the same principle: the spies promised that when Jericho fell, they would “bring out Rahab and her father and her mother and her brothers and all she had” (Joshua 6:23). One person’s faith secured an entire family’s preservation.

The Harpazo: Christ’s Coming for His Bride

The Harpazo represents the most extraordinary rescue in human history. Paul describes it as occurring “at the last trumpet” when “the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord."

The phrase “we who are alive and remain” refers to believers, but Scripture provides no evidence that this excludes children. The pattern throughout biblical history shows God’s rescue operations consistently including innocent children under divine protection.

1 Corinthians 15:51-52 "Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed."

The Corinthian passage adds crucial detail: “Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed” (1 Corinthians 15:51-52).

Matthew 24:40-41 "Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one will be left."

The Feast of Trumpets: “No One Knows the Day or Hour”

Jesus’s declaration that “no one knows the day or hour” (Matthew 24:36) has been misunderstood for centuries. This phrase represents a specific Jewish idiom referring exclusively to the Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah), the only feast requiring eyewitness confirmation of the new moon’s first sliver. While all other biblical feasts have fixed calendar dates, the Feast of Trumpets spans two potential days until witnesses confirm the lunar sighting.

Matthew 24:36 "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone."

The connection to the “last trumpet” becomes unmistakable when understanding that the Feast of Trumpets involves one hundred trumpet blasts, culminating in the “Tekiah Gedolah” - the great or last trumpet. This aligns perfectly with Paul’s description of the Harpazo occurring “at the last trumpet.”

Matthew 24:42 "Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming."

Jesus repeatedly emphasized watchfulness and readiness in connection with His coming: “Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming” (Matthew 24:42). “For this reason you also must be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He is coming” (Matthew 24:44).

God’s 7000-Year Timeline and September 2025

Scripture reveals God’s perfect timing through the principle that “with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day” (2 Peter 3:8). The biblical timeline follows a clear pattern:

- Creation to Abraham: approximately 2000 years

- Abraham to Jesus: approximately 2000 years

- Jesus to present: approximately 2000 years

- The seventh “day”: the 1000-year Millennial Kingdom

The fig tree prophecy provides additional confirmation. When Jesus declared, “Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near… this generation will not pass away until all these things take place” (Matthew 24:32-34), He established Israel’s rebirth as the key sign.

Israel became a nation again in 1948. A biblical generation spans 70-80 years according to Psalm 90:10. Adding 77 years to 1948 brings us to 2025 - specifically, the Feast of Trumpets falling between September 22-24, 2025.

The Parables: Warning the Church

Jesus’s parables reveal the sobering reality that much of the end-times church will be unprepared for His coming. The parable of the ten virgins represents the church - all are called “virgins” (believers), yet five are wise and five are foolish. The wise virgins are ready with oil in their lamps; the foolish are caught unprepared.

When the bridegroom comes, “those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast; and the door was shut” (Matthew 25:10). To the unprepared, Jesus declares, “Truly I say to you, I do not know you” (Matthew 25:12).

The parable of the talents reinforces this theme. Two servants receive the master’s approval: “Well done, good and faithful slave… enter into the joy of your master.” The unfaithful servant is cast into “outer darkness” (Matthew 25:21, 30).

These parables reveal that portions of the church - those who have become lukewarm, worldly, or complacent - will miss the Harpazo despite their religious identity.

The Devastating Reality for Unprepared Parents

The implications for lukewarm Christian parents are staggering. If children are taken in the Harpazo based on their innocent status and God’s protective character, while their unprepared parents remain behind, the separation becomes the ultimate tragedy.

Jesus warned of coming family division: “Do you suppose that I came to grant peace on earth? I tell you, no, but rather division; for from now on five members in one household will be divided, three against two and two against three” (Luke 12:51-53).

The “one taken, one left” passages describe this separation among adults: “Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one will be left” (Matthew 24:40-41). These verses suggest individual judgment among accountable adults while children appear protected under God’s mercy.

The Laodicean Church: Today’s Lukewarm Christianity

The church of Laodicea represents the end-times church condition. Jesus declares, “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth” (Revelation 3:15-16).

Many who consider themselves Christians live in spiritual complacency, focused on worldly success, comfort, and self-preservation rather than watching for Christ’s return. Like the rich young ruler who “went away grieving; for he was one who owned much property” (Matthew 19:22), they maintained religious observance while refusing total surrender to Christ’s lordship.

The Final Call: September 2025

If the biblical evidence points to the Feast of Trumpets in September 2025 as the time of the Harpazo, then lukewarm Christian parents face their final opportunity for preparation. The choice becomes stark:

Option 1: Genuine Repentance and Surrender

Scripture promises, “that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved, you and your household” (Acts 16:31). True repentance involves abandoning self-will, self-righteousness, self-promotion, and self-preservation - choosing grace over self in every area of life.

This means loving Jesus more than children, spouse, career, comfort, or reputation. As Jesus declared, “He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me” (Matthew 10:37).

Option 2: Face the Great Tribulation Separated from Children

Parents who refuse genuine surrender will watch their innocent children disappear in the Harpazo while remaining behind for the time of trouble described as unparalleled in human history: “For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will” (Matthew 24:21).

Hope for the Left Behind: The Martyrs’ Path to Reunion

Even for those who miss the Harpazo, God’s mercy provides a path back to their children. Revelation describes “a great multitude which no one could count… These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb” (Revelation 7:9, 14).

The key requirement during the tribulation involves refusing the mark of the beast: “And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years” (Revelation 20:4).

Parents who choose martyrdom rather than compromise will be reunited with their children at Christ’s Second Coming. Though they will have missed the marriage supper of the Lamb, they can still join the wedding celebration and reign with Christ in the Millennium.

The Character of God: Perfect Justice and Mercy

Throughout this investigation, one truth emerges clearly: God’s character ensures perfect justice and mercy for every child. Just as David expressed confidence that he would be reunited with his deceased infant son - “I will go to him, but he will not return to me” (2 Samuel 12:23) - believing parents can trust God’s goodness regarding their children’s eternal destiny.

The principle appears consistently in Scripture: God judges individuals according to their knowledge and ability to discern good from evil. Children below the age of accountability receive protection under divine mercy, just as Noah’s family, Lot’s household, and Rahab’s relatives found safety under the covering of righteous faith.

Practical Application: What Must Parents Do?

For parents reading this investigation with growing conviction that September 2025 may indeed mark the Harpazo, the time for half-hearted Christianity has ended. The requirements are clear:

Genuine Repentance

1. True repentance goes beyond feeling sorry for sin - it involves complete surrender of self-will to Christ’s lordship. This means abandoning every form of self-focus: self-righteousness, self-promotion, self-preservation, and self-ambition.

2. Total Surrender: Like the rich young ruler, many religious people refuse Jesus’s call to “go and sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me” (Matthew 19:21). This doesn’t necessarily mean literal poverty, but rather the willingness to sacrifice anything - career, comfort, reputation, security - for Christ’s sake.

3. Active Watching and Waiting: Jesus repeatedly commanded His followers to watch and be ready. This involves living with the constant expectation of His return, making decisions based on eternal rather than temporal values, and maintaining spiritual alertness rather than worldly slumber.

4. Love for His Appearing: Paul describes those who receive the crown of righteousness as “all who have loved His appearing” (2 Timothy 4:8). Genuine believers eagerly anticipate Christ’s return rather than hoping it delays so they can pursue worldly goals.

The Urgency of Now

If this investigation’s conclusions prove accurate, parents have mere weeks to make the most important decision of their lives. Isaiah’s warning echoes across the centuries: “Seek the LORD while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near” (Isaiah 55:6).

The writer of Hebrews adds urgency: “TODAY IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE, DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS” (Hebrews 3:15). Tomorrow may be too late. The door of the ark closes. The bridegroom arrives. The master returns to settle accounts.

Parents must choose: Will they surrender everything to join their children in the Harpazo, or will they cling to worldly priorities and face the devastating separation of the Great Tribulation?

The Promise of Divine Faithfulness

Even in this sobering investigation, hope shines through God’s faithful promises. Peter reminds us: “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you… After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you” (1 Peter 5:6-7, 10).

Jesus promised, “In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also” (John 14:2-3).

The Choice That Determines Eternity

This investigation reveals that innocent children will be protected in the Harpazo through God’s merciful character and consistent biblical patterns. Parents face the ultimate choice: genuine surrender to Christ’s lordship to join their children, or continued lukewarm Christianity resulting in traumatic separation.

The Feast of Trumpets in September 2025 may represent the final opportunity for preparation. The question remains: Will parents choose the temporary pleasures and securities of this world, or will they abandon everything to follow Christ wholeheartedly?

For those who choose surrender, the promise stands secure: “Therefore comfort one another with these words” (1 Thessalonians 4:18). For those who refuse, mercy still extends through the martyrs’ path during the tribulation.

The time for decision approaches rapidly. The fig tree has sprouted its leaves. The generation that saw Israel’s rebirth nears its completion. The Feast of Trumpets approaches when no one knows the day or hour, but everyone should be watching.

The question echoes through every Christian home: When the last trumpet sounds and the Bridegroom comes for His Bride, will your family be ready?

Revelation 3:22 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
