A MESSAGE TO THE GREAT BASIN REGION
From the Heart of God: You Are Lost, and Only Jesus Can Save You
To: Every person in the Great Basin Region - the tech innovators, the wealthy investors, the entrepreneurs building empires, the CEOs steering corporations, the professionals healing and building and creating, the real estate moguls, the bankers handling billions, the contractors and tradesmen building our cities, the politicians governing, the families raising children, the single parents fighting daily battles, the young adults pursuing dreams, the teenagers searching for meaning, and the children who wonder what life is about.
This message is for YOU.
THE TRUTH YOU NEED TO HEAR
You are LOST.
Not lost as in “confused about your next move” or “uncertain about your career path.”
LOST as in spiritually dead, separated from God, walking in darkness, heading toward eternal judgment, and completely unable to save yourself.
This isn’t an insult. This isn’t condemnation to make you feel bad.
This is TRUTH.
And truth is the only thing that can set you free.
WHO IS SPEAKING TO YOU?
Not religious people. Not a church. Not a political movement. Not a self-help guru.
JESUS CHRIST - the Son of the Living God - is speaking to you through His Word.
Jesus said it plainly:
“For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” (Luke 19:10)
You are the “lost” He came to find. Every single one of you.
- The billionaire tech founder who thinks your success proves you don’t need God
- The exhausted single mom who thinks you’re too broken for God to want you
- The teenager addicted to substances, screens, or self-destruction
- The politician who thinks your power makes you untouchable
- The professional who thinks your intelligence makes you self-sufficient
- The child being raised in a godless home with no hope
Jesus came specifically for YOU.
Not because you’re good enough. Not because you earned it. Not because you deserve it.
Because you’re LOST, and He SEEKS the lost.
-----
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE LOST?
You Cannot Save Yourself
Listen carefully: Everything you’re trusting in will fail you.
Your wealth? It will be worthless when judgment comes. Your intelligence? It cannot solve the problem of sin. Your success? It’s all temporary. Your connections? They’re as helpless as you are. Your good deeds? They’re filthy rags before a holy God.
“All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way.” (Isaiah 53:6)
Every attempt you’ve made to “be a good person” is just another form of faith in SELF - and faith in self can accomplish exactly NOTHING of eternal value.
The Reality of Your Condition
Here’s what Jesus said about you - about ALL of us:
“For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed the evil thoughts, fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries, deeds of coveting and wickedness, as well as deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride and foolishness. All these evil things proceed from within and defile the man.” (Mark 7:21-23)
The problem isn’t “out there.” It’s not your circumstances, your upbringing, or society.
The problem is IN YOU. In your heart. In mine. In all of us.
We are sinners by nature. We are defiled from the inside out. We are spiritually DEAD.
“And you were dead in your trespasses and sins.” (Ephesians 2:1)
Dead people cannot save themselves. Dead people cannot earn life. Dead people need someone to GIVE them life.
-----
THE BABYLONIAN LIE YOU’VE BEEN SOLD
You live in a system - call it America, call it modern Western civilization, call it “the way things are” - that has taught you to trust in:
- SELF - Your own ability, intelligence, effort, goodness
- SUCCESS - Your achievements, wealth, status, reputation
- SYSTEMS - Government, politics, economy, technology, education
- SECURITY - Your plans, your retirement, your health, your insurance
- PLEASURE - Entertainment, comfort, experiences, fulfillment
This is BABYLON.
Not just ancient Babylon. The spirit of Babylon that has existed since Nimrod built his tower saying, “Let us make for ourselves a NAME” (Genesis 11:4).
Babylon says: “I am, and there is no one besides me” (Isaiah 47:8)
Babylon says: “I sit as queen and will never see mourning” (Revelation 18:7)
Babylon says: “Look at what I myself have built by the might of my power and for the glory of my majesty” (Daniel 4:30)
Babylon is about SELF.
And you’ve been swimming in it your entire life.
The Babylon You Know
Tech gurus: You’re building the future, creating AI, revolutionizing industries - but who are you glorifying? Yourself or God?
Wealthy investors: Your portfolios are impressive, your returns are strong - but what are you trusting in? Your wisdom or God’s provision?
Entrepreneurs: You’re building businesses, creating jobs, pursuing the American Dream - but whose kingdom are you building? Yours or God’s?
Professionals: You’ve got the degrees, the licenses, the expertise - but who’s really in control? Your skill or God’s sovereignty?
Parents: You’re working multiple jobs, sacrificing everything for your kids’ future - but what future are you securing? A temporal one or an eternal one?
Young adults: You’re grinding, hustling, building your brand, living your best life - but whose approval are you chasing? The world’s or God’s?
Teenagers: You’re drowning in comparison, anxiety, depression, addiction - but who have you been taught to turn to? Yourself or a Savior?
All of it - every bit of it - is BABYLON.
And God is calling you to COME OUT.
“Come out of her, my people, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive of her plagues.” (Revelation 18:4)
-----
THE JUDGMENT THAT IS COMING
You need to understand something: Judgment is not a maybe. It’s not a possibility. It’s not fear-mongering.
It is CERTAIN. It is SOON. It is UNAVOIDABLE.
Babylon Will Fall
“Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great!” (Revelation 18:2)
“For in one hour such great wealth has been laid waste!” (Revelation 18:17)
Everything you’re trusting in - the economy, the stock market, the real estate empire, the political system, the technological advancement, the American Dream - ALL OF IT will collapse in an instant.
Your 401k? Gone. Your properties? Worthless. Your business? Destroyed. Your reputation? Meaningless. Your plans? Obliterated.
“The arrogant one will stumble and fall with no one to raise him up; And I will set fire to his cities.” (Jeremiah 50:32)
But More Importantly: YOU Will Be Judged
“And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment.” (Hebrews 9:27)
Every single person reading this will stand before God.
Not “might stand.” Not “could stand if certain conditions are met.”
WILL STAND.
And on that day, none of your excuses will matter:
- “I was a good person”
- “I provided for my family”
- “I never killed anyone”
- “I went to church sometimes”
- “I donated to charity”
- “I was successful in business”
- “I was too busy to think about God”
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” (2 Corinthians 5:10)
On that day, you will be weighed in the balance.
And you will be found deficient.
“TEKEL—you have been weighed on the scales and found deficient.” (Daniel 5:27)
Because the standard is not “pretty good” or “better than most people.”
The standard is PERFECTION. The righteousness of Jesus Christ.
And you don’t have it.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
The verdict? GUILTY.
The sentence? DEATH.
“For the wages of sin is death.” (Romans 6:23)
Not just physical death. Eternal death. Separation from God forever. Hell.
“These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power.” (2 Thessalonians 1:9)
-----
BUT HERE IS THE GOSPEL - THE GOOD NEWS
You might be thinking: “This doesn’t sound like good news at all. This sounds terrifying.”
Good. It should terrify you.
Because until you understand how LOST you are, how DEAD you are, how HELPLESS you are, how CONDEMNED you are…
You won’t understand how GOOD the Good News actually is.
God’s Heart for the Lost
Here’s what you need to know: God is not trying to condemn you. Satan is.
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10)
Satan wants you DEAD. Destroyed. Devoured.
But GOD wants you ALIVE. Saved. Rescued. Redeemed.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
“For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.” (John 3:17)
Jesus Came to SEEK YOU
You are not reading this by accident.
Jesus has been seeking you. Pursuing you. Drawing you.
“No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him.” (John 6:44)
Every circumstance that brought you to this moment - the success that left you empty, the failure that broke you open, the crisis that made you question everything, the restlessness that won’t go away, the guilt you can’t shake, the fear you can’t silence - God orchestrated ALL of it to get your attention.
Because He LOVES you.
Not because you’re lovable. Not because you earned it.
Because HE IS LOVE and HE IS COMPASSION and HE IS GOOD.
“Seeing the people, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dispirited like sheep without a shepherd.” (Matthew 9:36)
You are those sheep. Distressed. Dispirited. Without a shepherd.
And Jesus came to be your Shepherd.
-----
WHAT JESUS DID FOR YOU
Here’s what makes the Gospel different from every religion, every self-help philosophy, every motivational speech you’ve ever heard:
You don’t have to DO anything. Jesus already DID everything.
He Lived the Perfect Life You Couldn’t Live
Jesus never sinned. Not once. Not in thought, word, or deed.
He lived in perfect obedience to God. He fulfilled every requirement of the law. He was perfectly righteous.
And He did it FOR YOU.
To give you the righteousness you don’t have and can never earn.
He Died the Death You Deserve
Jesus went to the cross - not as a victim, not as a martyr, but as a SUBSTITUTE.
“All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him.” (Isaiah 53:6)
Every sin you’ve ever committed - the lies, the pride, the lust, the greed, the hatred, the selfishness, the idolatry, the rebellion - was placed on Jesus.
The wrath of God that YOU deserve - Jesus took it.
The punishment for YOUR sin - Jesus bore it.
The death YOU earned - Jesus died it.
“He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)
This is the exchange: Your sin for His righteousness. Your death for His life.
He Rose from the Dead to Give You Life
But the story doesn’t end at the cross.
Jesus rose from the dead.
Not symbolically. Not spiritually. Literally. Physically. Historically.
“But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep.” (1 Corinthians 15:20)
He conquered death. He defeated sin. He destroyed the works of Satan.
And He offers you that same resurrection life.
“Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.” (Romans 6:4)
-----
WHAT YOU MUST DO
Now here’s the question: What must you do to be saved?
The ONLY Thing God Requires
“What shall we do, so that we may work the works of God?’ Jesus answered and said to them, ‘This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.’” (John 6:28-29)
BELIEVE.
That’s it. That’s the “work” God requires.
Not clean up your life first. Not prove you’re worthy. Not earn it through good deeds.
BELIEVE in Jesus.
“He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” (John 3:36)
What Does It Mean to Believe?
It means REPENTANCE - turning from faith in SELF to faith in CHRIST.
- Stop trusting in your own goodness
- Stop trusting in your success and achievements
- Stop trusting in your intelligence and abilities
- Stop trusting in human systems and governments
- Stop trusting in ANYTHING except Jesus
It means CONFESSION - admitting the truth about yourself.
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)
Tell God: “I am a sinner. I am lost. I am helpless. I deserve hell. I cannot save myself. I need Jesus.”
It means RECEIVING - accepting Jesus as your only Savior and Lord.
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name.” (John 1:12)
Receive Him like a child - humbly, trustingly, completely dependent.
“Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.” (Luke 18:17)
It Is FAITH ALONE
Listen to this carefully:
You are saved by GRACE through FAITH - not by your works.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
- CEOs: Your business success cannot save you
- Tech gurus: Your innovations cannot save you
- Investors: Your wealth cannot save you
- Professionals: Your expertise cannot save you
- Parents: Your sacrifices for your kids cannot save you
- Good people: Your morality cannot save you
ONLY JESUS SAVES.
“And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
-----
THE URGENT CALL: NOW IS THE TIME
The Day of Judgment Is NEAR
We are in the last days. The signs are everywhere. The season is upon us.
“Therefore, knowing the time, that it is already the hour for you to awaken from sleep; for now salvation is nearer to us than when we believed. The night is almost gone, and the day is near.” (Romans 13:11-12)
Babylon is about to fall. The world system you’ve been trusting in is about to collapse.
And when it does, it will be too late to cry out.
“For this reason in one day her plagues will come, pestilence and mourning and famine, and she will be burned up with fire; for the Lord God who judges her is strong.” (Revelation 18:8)
Today Is the Day of Salvation
“Behold, now is ‘the acceptable time,’ behold, now is ‘the day of salvation.’” (2 Corinthians 6:2)
Not tomorrow. Not when you get your life together. Not when you finish this project or close that deal or reach that milestone.
NOW.
Because tomorrow is not promised.
“Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.” (James 4:14)
You could die today - heart attack, car accident, sudden illness.
You could face Jesus today - at the Rapture, when He comes for His Bride.
Are you ready?
-----
SPECIAL WORDS TO SPECIFIC GROUPS
To the Successful (Entrepreneurs, CEOs, Wealthy Investors)
Your success has been a TEST, not a validation.
God gave you those gifts, that intelligence, those opportunities - and you’ve used them to glorify YOURSELF.
“But you said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God… I will make myself like the Most High.’” (Isaiah 14:13-14)
That’s the spirit of Satan speaking through you.
Your wealth is worthless. Your empire will crumble. Your name will be forgotten.
“For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul?” (Matthew 16:26)
But it’s not too late.
Do what Zacchaeus did - when Jesus called him, he immediately gave half his possessions to the poor and made restitution.
“And Jesus said to him, ‘Today salvation has come to this house… for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.’” (Luke 19:9-10)
Jesus is calling YOU today. Will you respond?
To the Professionals (Doctors, Lawyers, Engineers, Scientists)
Your education has made you proud, not wise.
“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness before God.” (1 Corinthians 3:19)
You think because you can diagnose diseases, argue cases, design systems, or understand physics, that you have life figured out.
You don’t.
All your knowledge cannot answer the most important question: What happens when you die?
The smartest thing you could ever do is become like a child before God - admitting you don’t know, you can’t figure it out, and you need Him.
“I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants.” (Matthew 11:25)
To the Exhausted Parents (Single Parents, Working Moms and Dads)
You’re killing yourself trying to provide, protect, and prepare your kids for the future.
But you’re neglecting their eternal souls.
“For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul?” (Matthew 16:26)
What good is it if your kids get into great schools, have successful careers, and make lots of money - but spend eternity in hell?
Give them JESUS. That’s the greatest gift you could ever give.
And you can’t give what you don’t have.
First, YOU must come to Christ. Then, bring your children to Him.
“Permit the children to come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” (Luke 18:16)
To the Young Adults (Millennials, Gen Z)
You’ve been lied to your entire life.
They told you: “Follow your passion. Live your truth. You do you. YOLO.”
It’s all Babylon.
You’re more anxious, depressed, addicted, and suicidal than any generation in history - because you’ve been given everything EXCEPT what you actually need: JESUS.
The “freedom” they promised you is slavery. The “fulfillment” they promised is emptiness. The “success” they promised is vanity.
“Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin… So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.” (John 8:34, 36)
Real freedom is found only in Christ.
Real purpose. Real meaning. Real life.
Stop Instagram-living and start actually living - for the glory of God.
To the Teenagers
You feel lost, confused, anxious, depressed - like you don’t fit anywhere.
You’re right. You don’t fit here.
“If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you.” (John 15:19)
You weren’t made for this broken world. You were made for GOD.
And there’s a God-shaped hole in your heart that nothing else can fill - not relationships, not popularity, not substances, not screens, not achievements.
Only Jesus fits.
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
He sees you. He knows you. He loves you. He died for you.
Come to Him.
To the Children
If you’re young enough to read this or have it read to you, listen carefully:
Jesus loves you. More than your parents love you. More than anyone loves you.
He made you. He knows everything about you. And He wants you to know Him.
The Bible says:
“Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14)
You don’t have to wait until you’re older. You don’t have to understand everything.
Just tell Jesus: “I know I do bad things sometimes. I’m sorry. I believe You died for me. Please save me.”
He will. Because He promised:
“Whoever comes to Me I will certainly not cast out.” (John 6:37)
-----
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU BELIEVE?
Immediate Changes
1. You Are SAVED from the wrath of God
“Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.” (Romans 5:9)
Hell is no longer your destiny. Heaven is.
2. You Are Made a CHILD OF GOD
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name.” (John 1:12)
You go from enemy to family. From rebel to beloved son or daughter.
3. You Receive the HOLY SPIRIT
“Having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise.” (Ephesians 1:13)
God Himself comes to live inside you. To teach you. To transform you. To lead you.
4. You Are Given ETERNAL LIFE
“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.” (John 5:24)
Not just life after death. Life NOW - abundant, purposeful, meaningful life.
5. You Are Made RIGHTEOUS
“He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)
God looks at you and sees Jesus’ perfection, not your sin.
Ongoing Process
You Will Be TRANSFORMED
“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Your desires change. Your priorities change. Your life changes.
Not overnight. Not perfectly. But progressively, as the Holy Spirit works in you.
“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.” (2 Corinthians 3:18)
-----
WHAT YOU MUST DO NEXT
1. CRY OUT TO JESUS RIGHT NOW
Don’t wait. Don’t overthink it. Don’t try to clean yourself up first.
Just call on Him.
“Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13)
Pray something like this:
“Jesus, I am a sinner. I am lost. I have been trusting in myself, and I have nothing. I deserve hell. But I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I believe You are the Son of God. I turn from my sin and from trusting in myself. I trust in You alone to save me. Please forgive me. Please save me. Be my Lord. Amen.”
If you prayed that and meant it, you are SAVED.
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Acts 2:21)
2. COME OUT OF BABYLON
Spiritually:
- Stop loving this world
- Stop trusting in human systems
- Stop placing faith in yourself
- Stop participating in sin
Practically:
- Read the Bible daily (start with the Gospel of John)
- Pray - talk to God constantly
- Find a Bible-believing church
- Be baptized as a public declaration of your faith
- Tell others about Jesus
Physically (if/when called):
- Be ready to leave everything if God makes it clear
- Hold loosely to your possessions
- Store up treasure in heaven, not on earth
3. LIVE FOR HIS GLORY
Your life is no longer your own.
“For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.” (1 Corinthians 6:20)
- Tech gurus: Use your gifts to advance God’s kingdom
- Business owners: Run your business for God’s glory
- Parents: Raise your children in the fear of the Lord
- Young people: Live radically for Jesus
- Everyone: Be a witness to His goodness
4. EAGERLY AWAIT HIS RETURN
“Looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus.” (Titus 2:13)
Jesus is coming back. Soon.
Live like it. Watch for it. Long for it.
Cry out: “COME, LORD JESUS, COME!” (Revelation 22:20)
-----
THE FINAL WARNING
If you reject this message, you have no excuse.
“He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” (John 3:18)
You’ve been warned. You’ve been told the truth. You’ve been shown the way.
What you do with Jesus determines your eternal destiny.
“I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants.” (Deuteronomy 30:19)
CHOOSE LIFE. CHOOSE JESUS.
-----
THE FINAL INVITATION
Jesus is standing at the door of your heart, knocking.
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.” (Revelation 3:20)
He wants to come in. He wants to save you. He wants to give you life.
But you must open the door.
The handle is on your side. You must choose.
Will you open it?
Will you let Him in?
Will you surrender your life to Him?
Or will you stay in Babylon and perish with it?
The choice is yours.
But know this: Jesus loves you. He died for you. He rose for you. He’s calling you.
“The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who hears say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost.” (Revelation 22:17)
COME.
Place NO faith in self.
Place NO hope in Babylon.
Place ALL your faith in JESUS ALONE.
He is the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE.
He is your ONLY hope.
-----
FOR THE GLORY OF GOD
This message was written not to condemn you, but to save you.
Not to make you feel guilty, but to show you the way to freedom.
Not to take anything from you, but to give you everything.
JESUS came to seek and to save that which was LOST.
You are LOST.
Let Him FIND you.
-----
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” - John 3:16
BELIEVE. BE SAVED. COME OUT. LIVE FOR HIS GLORY.
-----
RESPONSE INFORMATION:
If you have questions or want to talk to someone about following Jesus, seek out a Bible-believing church in your area. Read the Bible starting with the Gospel of John. Pray and ask God to reveal Himself to you.
Most importantly: Don’t delay. Today is the day of salvation.
This message was prepared with love, in truth, for the glory of God alone.
