I see you.

You’re sitting in sacrament meeting, but your mind is somewhere else.

You’re listening to the bishop speak, but you’re comparing his words to what you read in your Bible this morning.

You went on a mission. You knocked on doors. You testified of Joseph Smith.

But now you’re reading your Bible—really reading it—and something doesn’t add up.

The Holy Spirit is whispering to your heart: “Something is wrong here.”

You pray to Jesus. Not to Heavenly Father through Jesus. To Jesus. Directly.

And He’s there. You feel Him. You know Him.

Your relationship with Jesus is growing.

But the cognitive dissonance is killing you.

Every Sunday, you hear:

- “Joseph Smith is a prophet”
- “The Book of Mormon is the most correct book”
- “The Church is true”
- “Follow the prophet”

And every day, your Bible says something different.

You know Joseph Smith wasn’t a good man.

You know the Book of Mormon contradicts the Bible.

You know the temple ordinances aren’t biblical.

You know exaltation to godhood isn’t the Gospel.

You KNOW.

But you can’t leave.

Why?

- Your family would disown you
- Your spouse might divorce you
- You’d lose your community
- You’d be labeled an apostate
- Your children would be taught you’re lost
- Your eternal family would be broken

So you sit on the fence.

One foot in Mormonism. One foot in biblical Christianity.

Trying to make peace with both.

But the fence is breaking.

And the Holy Spirit is calling you:

Revelation 18:4

“I heard another voice from heaven, saying, ‘COME OUT OF HER, MY PEOPLE, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive of her plagues’”

This message is for YOU.

From someone who loves you.

With the TRUTH that will set you free.

PART 1: THE TRUTH YOU ALREADY KNOW

You Know the Bible Contradicts Mormonism

You’ve read your Bible. You’ve compared it to LDS doctrine. You KNOW they don’t align.

Let me confirm what the Holy Spirit has already shown you:

1. GOD IS ONE, NOT THREE SEPARATE BEINGS

The Bible:

“Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one!” (Deuteronomy 6:4)

“I am the first and I am the last, And there is no God besides Me” (Isaiah 44:6)

“Before Me there was no God formed, And there will be none after Me” (Isaiah 43:10)

LDS Doctrine:

- God the Father is an exalted man
- Jesus is His literal spirit son
- They are separate beings
- We can become gods like them

These CANNOT both be true.

2. GOD HAS ALWAYS BEEN GOD

The Bible:

“From everlasting to everlasting, You are God” (Psalm 90:2)

“I am the LORD, I do not change” (Malachi 3:6)

LDS Doctrine (Lorenzo Snow):

“As man is, God once was; as God is, man may become”

God was NEVER a man who progressed to godhood.

He is the ETERNAL, UNCHANGING God.

3. SALVATION IS BY GRACE ALONE THROUGH FAITH ALONE

The Bible:

“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

“He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy” (Titus 3:5)

LDS Doctrine (Articles of Faith 3):

“We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel”

The Bible says: Grace ALONE, Faith ALONE, Christ ALONE

LDS says: Grace + Works + Ordinances + Obedience

These are OPPOSITE GOSPELS.

4. THERE IS ONLY ONE GOSPEL

The Bible:

“But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!” (Galatians 1:8)

LDS claims:

- An angel (Moroni) gave Joseph Smith a “restored gospel”

- The original gospel was lost and needed restoration

- The LDS gospel includes temple work, eternal progression, exaltation

Paul said if an ANGEL preaches a different gospel—ACCURSED.

Moroni supposedly did exactly that.

5. WE CANNOT BECOME GODS

The Bible:

“You are My witnesses,” declares the LORD, “And My servant whom I have chosen, So that you may know and believe Me And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, And there will be none after Me” (Isaiah 43:10)

LDS Doctrine:

- Eternal progression to godhood

- We can become gods of our own worlds

- “As man is, God once was; as God is, man may become”

The Bible explicitly DENIES this.

6. JESUS IS NOT SATAN’S BROTHER

The Bible:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being” (John 1:1-3)

LDS Doctrine:

- Jesus and Satan are both spirit children of Heavenly Father

- They are literal brothers

- Jesus was chosen, Satan rebelled

The Bible says Jesus is the CREATOR of all things.

Satan is a CREATED BEING.

They are NOT brothers.

7. THE GOSPEL WAS NOT LOST AND RESTORED

The Bible:

“I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it” (Matthew 16:18)

“I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20)

Jesus promised His church would NOT fail.

If the gospel was completely lost (requiring Joseph Smith to restore it), then:

- Jesus failed
- The gates of hell prevailed
- Jesus left us alone (breaking His promise)

The LDS “apostasy” narrative makes Jesus a LIAR.

Every time you read your Bible, the contradictions become clearer.

You KNOW Mormon doctrine doesn’t align with Scripture.

So why are you still there?

PART 2: THE FENCE IS KILLING YOU

The Cognitive Dissonance

You’re trying to hold two opposing truths:

Mormon Identity: “The Church is true. Joseph Smith is a prophet. Follow the prophet.”

Biblical Truth: “The Bible alone is sufficient. Jesus alone saves. No prophet after Christ.”

Your mind is at WAR with itself.

Every Sunday:

- You sustain leaders you don’t believe in

- You pay tithing to an organization you doubt

- You participate in ordinances you question

- You teach your children things you’re not sure are true

- You stay silent when you should speak

Every day:

- The guilt grows
- The hypocrisy weighs on you
- The fear of consequences paralyzes you
- The love for Jesus pulls you one way
- The fear of man pulls you the other

You’re being TORN APART.

What the Bible Says About This

Matthew 6:24

“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other.”

You CANNOT serve:

- Both the LDS Church and Jesus
- Both Joseph Smith and the Bible
- Both the prophet and the Word of God

Revelation 3:15-16

“I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.”

God wants you HOT or COLD.

Not LUKEWARM.

The fence is not a safe place.

It’s the most DANGEROUS place.

Because you’re compromising:

- Your integrity (living a lie)
- Your family (teaching them things you don’t believe)
- Your soul (participating in a false gospel)
- Your witness (being silent about truth)

And for what?

To keep the peace?

To avoid persecution?

To maintain relationships?

Is that worth your SOUL?

PART 3: THE TRUTH ABOUT JOSEPH SMITH

You Already Suspect

You know something is wrong with Joseph Smith’s story.

Let me confirm what you’ve already discovered:

The First Vision - Multiple Contradicting Accounts

Joseph Smith told the “First Vision” story differently:

- 1832 account: Jesus appeared alone

- 1835 account: Many angels appeared

- 1838 account (official): Father and Son appeared together

- Different years, different ages, different details

If this was the foundation of the restoration, why does the story keep changing?

The Book of Mormon - Problems You Can’t Ignore

DNA Evidence:

- BOM claims Native Americans are descendants of Israelites

- DNA proves they’re Asian descent

- Church quietly changed “principal ancestors” to “among the ancestors”

Anachronisms:

- Horses (extinct in Americas until Spanish)
- Steel (not produced by ancient Americans)
- Wheat, barley (not in Americas)
- Reformed Egyptian (doesn’t exist)

Plagiarism:

- King James Bible errors copied into BOM
- View of the Hebrews (similar storyline)
- Late War (similar phrasing)

Zero Archaeological Evidence:

- No cities found
- No artifacts discovered
- No evidence of massive battles described

The Book of Abraham - Proven False

The papyri Joseph “translated”:

- Were recovered and examined by Egyptologists
- Are common Egyptian funerary texts
- Have NOTHING to do with Abraham
- Completely debunk Joseph’s “gift of translation”

If he couldn’t translate Egyptian, what about Reformed Egyptian (Book of Mormon)?

Polygamy and Polyandry

Joseph Smith:

- Married 30-40 women (some as young as 14)

- Married women who were already married to other men

- Lied about it publicly while practicing it secretly

- Coerced women with promises of salvation for their families

- Had sexual relationships with many

This is not the behavior of a prophet of God.

This is the behavior of a predator.

Treasure Digging and Magic

Before being a “prophet,” Joseph was:

- Convicted of being a “glass looker” (fraud)
- Used a seer stone to find treasure
- Same stone he “translated” the BOM with
- Into folk magic, divining rods, Jupiter talismans

Is this the background of God’s prophet?

Changing Revelations

Joseph’s “revelations” changed when convenient:

- D&C changed to remove Emma’s name and insert Hyrum’s

- Polygamy revelation when caught by Emma

- Word of Wisdom became commandment later (Joseph drank wine)

- First Vision account changed to include Father

God’s Word doesn’t change based on circumstances.

You KNOW Joseph Smith was not a prophet.

He was either:

- A deceived man
- A deceiving man
- Or both

But he was NOT a prophet of God.

PART 4: THE TRUTH ABOUT THE LDS CHURCH

You’re Seeing It Now

The more you study, the more you see:

It’s a Corporation, Not a Church

$100+ billion in assets:

- Shopping malls
- Hotels
- Land holdings
- Stock portfolio
- City Creek Center ($5 billion mall)

Meanwhile:

- Members pay 10% tithing (gross income)

- Humanitarian aid is a tiny fraction of revenue

- Financial records are secret

- No paid clergy (except General Authorities get “modest stipends” - actually $120,000+)

This is a BUSINESS.

It Controls Through Fear

You’ve experienced:

- Fear of losing your eternal family
- Fear of being labeled apostate
- Fear of losing your community
- Fear of disappointing parents
- Fear of temple recommend being revoked
- Fear of not being worthy

Perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18).

The LDS Church operates on FEAR.

It Replaces Jesus with the Organization

In Mormonism, salvation requires:

- Baptism by proper authority (LDS baptism)

- Gift of Holy Ghost by proper authority (LDS confirmation)

- Temple endowment (LDS temple)

- Temple sealing (LDS temple)

- Obedience to prophet (LDS leadership)

- Payment of tithing (LDS church)

You can’t be saved without the LDS ORGANIZATION.

This is NOT the Gospel.

The Gospel is JESUS ALONE.

It Changes Doctrine Constantly

What’s changed in your lifetime:

- Black members and priesthood
- Temple ceremony (blood oaths removed)
- Garments changed
- Caffeine stance softened
- Word of Wisdom interpretations
- Definition of prophet’s words
- Church name emphasis (Mormon → Latter-day Saints)

God’s truth doesn’t change based on cultural pressure.

You know the LDS Church is NOT what it claims to be.

PART 5: THE GOSPEL YOU’RE DISCOVERING

Jesus is Calling You

As you read your Bible, you’re discovering the REAL Gospel:

1. You Are a Sinner

Romans 3:23

“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”

Not “all are doing their best.”

Not “all are trying to be good.”

ALL have SINNED.

Including you.

2. You Deserve Hell

Romans 6:23

“For the wages of sin is death”

Romans 5:12

“through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned”

You deserve eternal separation from God.

Not because you’re a bad person.

Because you’re a SINNER.

3. You Cannot Save Yourself

Ephesians 2:8-9

“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast”

No amount of:

- Temple ordinances
- Good works
- Obedience
- Service
- Tithing
- Mission service

Can save you.

NONE OF IT.

4. Jesus Did It ALL

John 19:30

“Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, ‘It is finished!’ And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit”

Not “It is finished… except for temple work, eternal progression, and your obedience.”

“IT IS FINISHED.”

Complete. Done. Accomplished.

2 Corinthians 5:21

“He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him”

Jesus took YOUR sin.

You get HIS righteousness.

Complete exchange.

Nothing left for you to do.

5. Salvation is a Free Gift

Romans 6:23

“but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”

Free. Gift.

Not earned. Not worked for. Not progressed into.

GIVEN.

Romans 5:8

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”

While you were STILL SINNING.

Not after you cleaned up.

Not after you proved worthy.

While you were DEAD in sin.

Christ died for YOU.

6. You Must Believe and Repent

Acts 16:31

“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved”

Acts 3:19

“Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away”

John 1:12

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name”

Not “as many as do the ordinances.”

As many as BELIEVE.

RECEIVE.

REPENT.

This is the Gospel you’re discovering in your Bible.

This is the Jesus you’re getting to know.

And He’s SO MUCH BETTER than what Mormonism offered.

PART 6: COUNTING THE COST

What You’ll Lose

Let’s be honest about what leaving will cost:

FAMILY:

- Parents may disown you
- Siblings may cut you off
- Extended family may shun you
- Your children may be told you’re lost
- Your eternal family sealing is threatened

SPOUSE:

- May demand you stay for the family
- May threaten divorce
- May turn your children against you
- May believe you’re deceived by Satan

COMMUNITY:

- Friends will distance themselves
- Ward members will treat you differently
- You’ll be labeled “apostate”
- Your reputation will be destroyed
- Support network will vanish

IDENTITY:

- Everything you were taught from birth
- Your mission experience “wasted”
- Years of service “meaningless”
- Your entire worldview shattered
- Starting over spiritually

I’m not going to lie to you.

It will be HARD.

Perhaps the hardest thing you’ll ever do.

What Jesus Said About This

Luke 14:26-27

“If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple. Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.”

Matthew 10:34-37

“Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I came to SET A MAN AGAINST HIS FATHER, AND A DAUGHTER AGAINST HER MOTHER, AND A DAUGHTER-IN-LAW AGAINST HER MOTHER-IN-LAW; and A MAN’S ENEMIES WILL BE THE MEMBERS OF HIS HOUSEHOLD. He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.”

Jesus KNEW following Him would cost you your family.

He TOLD you it would.

He’s not surprised by what you’re facing.

And He asks:

Matthew 16:26

“For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul?”

What does it profit you to keep your family’s approval but lose your SOUL?

PART 7: WHAT YOU’LL GAIN

The Truth Will Set You Free

John 8:31-32

“So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, ‘If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.’”

When you come out, you will gain:

1. FREEDOM from the Burden of Performance

No more:

- Trying to be worthy
- Endless checklist of obedience
- Fear of not doing enough
- Pressure to be perfect
- Shame when you fall short

You’ll rest in Christ’s FINISHED work.

2. ASSURANCE of Salvation

1 John 5:13

“These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life”

Not “hope.”

Not “if you’re worthy.”

KNOW.

Right now. Today. Forever.

3. RELATIONSHIP with Jesus

Not through:

- Temple ordinances
- Priesthood authority
- Prophet mediation

DIRECTLY.

Hebrews 4:16

“Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need”

Direct access. Anytime. Anywhere.

4. THE HOLY SPIRIT

The ACTUAL Holy Spirit.

Not a “gift” conferred by laying on of hands.

The THIRD PERSON of the Trinity.

Living IN you.

Romans 8:9

“However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you”

He will:

- Guide you into all truth
- Teach you
- Comfort you
- Transform you
- Empower you

5. TRUE COMMUNITY

Yes, you’ll lose your Mormon community.

But you’ll gain:

- Biblical Christians who will welcome you

- Former Mormons who understand your journey

- A church family that loves Jesus

- Brothers and sisters in Christ worldwide

The Body of Christ is BIGGER than the LDS Church.

6. PEACE

No more cognitive dissonance.

No more fence-sitting.

No more divided loyalty.

Peace with God.

Peace with yourself.

Peace in the truth.

Philippians 4:7

“And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus”

PART 8: THE CALL - COME OUT

Revelation 18:4

“I heard another voice from heaven, saying, ‘COME OUT OF HER, MY PEOPLE, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive of her plagues’”

This is the voice you’ve been hearing.

The Holy Spirit calling you OUT.

Out of:

- False doctrine
- Works-based salvation
- Organizational control
- Fear and guilt
- The Babylonian system

Into:

- Biblical truth
- Grace-based salvation
- Freedom in Christ
- Love and assurance
- The Kingdom of God

What Coming Out Looks Like

1. CONFESS to Jesus

Tell Him:

- “I’ve been following a false gospel”
- “I’ve trusted in works, not grace”
- “I’ve believed lies about You”
- “I’m a sinner who needs a Savior”
- “I trust You alone to save me”
- “I receive Your finished work on the cross”
- “I surrender my life to You as Lord”

2. STOP Participating in LDS Ordinances

You can’t serve two masters.

Stop:

- Taking the sacrament in an LDS context
- Attending temple
- Sustaining false prophets
- Teaching LDS doctrine
- Paying tithing to the organization

This doesn’t have to be dramatic.

Just stop.

Quietly, if necessary.

But STOP.

3. FIND a Biblical Church

Look for a church that:

- Preaches the Bible faithfully
- Proclaims salvation by grace alone through faith alone
- Worships Jesus (not follows a prophet)
- Makes disciples (not just attendees)
- Lives distinctly from the world

You need:

- Biblical teaching
- Christian community
- Discipleship
- Accountability
- Support in your transition

4. STUDY Your Bible

Get a:

- Good study Bible (ESV, NASB, or similar)

- Bible reading plan

- Christian resources (from biblical Christians, not LDS scholars)

Immerse yourself in:

- The Gospels (see Jesus clearly)
- Romans (understand grace)
- Galatians (see the difference between law and grace)
- Hebrews (see Jesus as the fulfillment)

5. Be BAPTIZED

LDS baptism is not valid because:

- It’s in a different god (exalted man)
- It’s for a different gospel (works-based)
- It’s by false authority (LDS priesthood)

Get baptized as a believer in the biblical Jesus.

As a public declaration of faith in Him alone.

6. PREPARE for Consequences

They will come.

Family may reject you.

Friends may abandon you.

The church will label you apostate.

But remember:

Acts 5:29

“We must obey God rather than men”

7. SHARE the Truth

With love and gentleness:

- Tell your family why you’re leaving
- Share the Gospel with them
- Invite them to read the Bible with you
- Be patient (remember, you were once where they are)

Don’t argue. Don’t condemn. Don’t attack.

Just WITNESS to the truth.

And let the Holy Spirit work.

PART 9: TO THOSE WHO ALREADY LEFT BUT HAVEN’T FULLY REPENTED

You’re Out, But Not In

Maybe you already left the LDS Church.

You don’t go anymore.

You don’t believe the doctrine.

But you haven’t:

- Surrendered to Jesus as Lord
- Joined a biblical church
- Been baptized as a believer
- Made disciples
- Fully repented

You’re OUT of Mormonism.

But you’re not IN Christ.

You’re in spiritual limbo.

Neutral.

And neutrality is not safety.

Luke 11:23

“He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me, scatters”

There’s no middle ground.

You’re either:

- WITH Christ
- Or AGAINST Christ

Leaving Mormonism is not enough.

You must COME TO CHRIST.

John 14:6

“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me’”

Not through:

- Your rejection of Mormonism
- Your intellectual honesty
- Your moral life
- Your good deeds

Through JESUS ALONE.

Have you:

- Repented of your sin?
- Believed in Jesus Christ?
- Received Him as Lord and Savior?
- Been born again?

If not, you’re still LOST.

Just in a different way.

Acts 4:12

“And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved”

COME TO CHRIST.

Fully. Completely. Surrender.

PART 10: SPECIAL WORD TO SPOUSES

If Your Spouse is Still LDS

This is perhaps the hardest situation.

You see the truth.

They don’t (yet).

What do you do?

1. PRAY

Constantly. Fervently. Desperately.

For:

- Their spiritual eyes to be opened
- The Holy Spirit to convict them
- Opportunities to share truth
- Your marriage to survive
- Wisdom in how to proceed

2. BE an Example

1 Peter 3:1-2

“In the same way, you wives, be submissive to your own husbands so that even if any of them are disobedient to the word, they may be won without a word by the behavior of their wives, as they observe your chaste and respectful behavior”

This applies to husbands too.

Your LIFE should preach the Gospel.

Show them:

- The peace you have in Christ
- The freedom from performance
- The love of Jesus
- The power of grace

Let them SEE the difference.

3. SPEAK the Truth in Love

When opportunities arise:

- Share what you’re learning in the Bible
- Ask questions about inconsistencies
- Point to Jesus, not just problems with LDS
- Be gentle, patient, loving

But speak.

Don’t hide the truth to keep peace.

4. SET Boundaries

You cannot:

- Participate in temple ordinances you don’t believe in

- Teach your children doctrine you know is false

- Pretend to sustain leaders you don’t believe in

- Live a lie to make them comfortable

But you CAN:

- Respect their choice to continue (for now)
- Love them despite disagreement
- Pray they’ll see the truth
- Give them time (remember, you didn’t see it overnight)

5. PREPARE for the Worst

They may:

- Demand you stay LDS “for the family”
- Threaten divorce
- Turn your children against you
- Use the church to pressure you

Hope for the best.

But prepare for the worst.

And remember:

Matthew 10:37

“He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me”

Even your spouse.

If it comes down to Christ or your marriage:

Choose CHRIST.

Every time.

PART 11: SPECIAL WORD TO PARENTS

Your Children

This may be your biggest concern.

“If I leave, what happens to my kids?”

“They’ll lose their eternal family.”

“The church will teach them I’m lost.”

“My spouse will raise them LDS without me.”

I understand.

But consider:

What’s at Stake?

If you stay:

- Your children learn a FALSE gospel
- They trust in WORKS for salvation
- They follow a FALSE prophet
- They believe LIES about Jesus
- They may spend ETERNITY in hell

If you leave and show them the truth:

- They see what real faith looks like
- They learn to choose truth over comfort
- They see the power of the Gospel
- They meet the REAL Jesus
- They have a chance at ETERNAL LIFE

Which is more important:

Keeping the family together in FALSE RELIGION?

Or showing them the path to ETERNAL LIFE through TRUTH?

Proverbs 22:6

“Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it”

What “way” are you training them in?

LDS works-based gospel?

Or biblical grace-based Gospel?

Your Responsibility

You have a DUTY before God:

To teach your children:

- The truth about Jesus
- The truth about salvation
- The truth about the Bible
- The truth about Mormonism

Yes, it may cause conflict.

Yes, it may be hard.

But their SOULS are at stake.

Ezekiel 3:18

“When I say to the wicked, ‘You will surely die,’ and you do not warn him or speak out to warn the wicked from his wicked way that he may live, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand”

If you know the truth and don’t warn them:

Their blood is on YOUR hands.

PART 12: THE URGENCY

The Day is Near

Jesus is coming back.

Soon.

When He returns:

He’s not asking:

- “Were you a good Mormon?”
- “Did you do your temple work?”
- “Did you keep your family together?”
- “Did you avoid causing problems?”

He’s asking:

“Did you KNOW Me?”

Matthew 7:21-23

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’”

You can:

- Do all the ordinances
- Serve all the missions
- Pay all the tithing
- Hold all the callings
- Keep all the commandments

And He’ll say:

“I NEVER KNEW YOU.”

Because you never KNEW HIM.

You knew about Him.

But you didn’t KNOW Him.

Do you know Jesus?

The REAL Jesus?

Not:

- The spirit brother of Lucifer
- The son of Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother
- One god among many
- The god of this world

But:

The ETERNAL Son of God

The CREATOR of all things

The ONLY way to the Father

The SAVIOR who finished the work

That Jesus?

Do you KNOW Him?

PART 13: THE FINAL CALL

The Fence is Breaking

You can’t stay here much longer.

The cognitive dissonance will destroy you.

Or the Holy Spirit will break through.

You’re at a crossroads:

PATH 1: Stay in Mormonism

- Keep the peace
- Maintain relationships
- Avoid persecution
- Live in comfortable lies
- Die in false hope
- Face Jesus without knowing Him

PATH 2: Come Out and Come to Christ

- Lose relationships (maybe temporarily, maybe permanently)
- Face persecution
- Walk through fire
- Live in uncomfortable truth
- Die in certain hope
- Face Jesus as your Lord and Savior

Joshua 24:15

“If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve… but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD”

CHOOSE.

Today.

Not tomorrow.

Not when it’s more convenient.

Not when your kids are grown.

Not when your parents pass away.

TODAY.

2 Corinthians 6:2

“behold, now is ‘THE ACCEPTABLE TIME,’ behold, now is ‘THE DAY OF SALVATION’”

NOW.

The Prayer

If you’re ready, pray this:

“Jesus, I’ve been living a lie. I’ve followed a false gospel. I’ve trusted in my works, my ordinances, my obedience. But none of it can save me. I am a sinner. I deserve hell. I cannot save myself. I believe You are the Son of God. I believe You died for my sins. I believe You rose from the dead. I repent of my sin and my false religion. I turn from Mormonism and turn to You alone. Save me. Not because I’m worthy, but because You’re gracious. Not because I’ve done the ordinances, but because You finished the work. I trust in You alone. Be my Lord. Be my Savior. Give me new life. Fill me with Your Spirit. I surrender everything to You. In Your name, Amen.”

If you prayed that and MEANT it:

You are SAVED.

Right now.

Not after temple work.

Not after proving yourself.

NOW.

Romans 10:13

“for ‘WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED’”

What To Do Now

1. Tell Someone

Find a biblical Christian and say:

- “I left Mormonism”
- “I gave my life to Christ”
- “I need help”

2. Get a Bible

A real one. Not:

- Book of Mormon
- Doctrine & Covenants
- Pearl of Great Price

Just the BIBLE.

Get:

- ESV Study Bible
- Or NASB Study Bible
- Or similar scholarly, evangelical translation

Read:

- Gospel of John (meet Jesus)
- Romans (understand grace)
- Galatians (see the difference from works)

3. Find a Church

Look for:

- “Evangelical”
- “Bible-believing”
- “Gospel-centered”
- NOT “Community of Christ” (that’s still Mormon)
- NOT “United Church of Christ” (that’s liberal)

Ask:

- “Do you believe in salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone?”
- “Do you believe the Bible is the only authority?”
- “Do you affirm the Trinity?”

If they say yes, visit.

4. Get Baptized

As a believer.

As a public declaration of faith in Christ.

Your LDS baptism doesn’t count.

Be baptized as a born-again Christian.

5. Read Resources

Helpful books:

- “Letters to a Mormon Elder” by James White

- “Mormonism 101” by McKeever & Johnson

- “The Gospel According to Jesus” by John MacArthur

6. Connect with Ex-Mormons

Find:

- Ex-Mormon communities online
- Ex-Mormon ministries
- Biblical Christians who understand your journey

You’re not alone.

Thousands have walked this path before you.

7. Be Patient with Yourself

You’ve been:

- Indoctrinated from birth (if BIC)
- Or intensely converted (if convert)
- Deeply invested for years
- Shaped by LDS worldview

Deprogramming takes TIME.

Be patient.

Give yourself grace.

Study the Bible.

Let the Holy Spirit transform your mind.

Even though it might offend you.

The REAL Christ.

The SUFFICIENT Christ.

He’s waiting for you.

Not demanding ordinances.

Not requiring works.

Just saying:

“Come.”

By grace.

Through faith.
