SATAN: THE ARCHITECT OF ALL THREE REBELLIONS
Behind every rebellion stands the same enemy: SATAN.
Rebellion 1 (Eden): Satan tempted Eve, corrupted humanity, brought death
Rebellion 2 (Genesis 6): Satan orchestrated the Watchers’ fall, corrupted DNA, tried to prevent Messiah
Rebellion 3 (Babel): Satan inspired Nimrod, united humanity against God, established Babylon system
John 8:44 “You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”
1 John 3:8 “The one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.”
Satan’s goal in all three rebellions: PREVENT THE MESSIAH and DESTROY GOD’S PLAN.
But he failed every time because God’s plan cannot be thwarted.
-----
THE TRIUNE GOD USES REBELLION TO FULFILL SCRIPTURE
Here’s the glorious paradox: God uses Satan’s rebellions to accomplish His purposes.
Acts 2:23 “This Man, delivered over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you nailed to a cross by the hands of godless men and put Him to death.”
Even the crucifixion—Satan’s ultimate act—was God’s predetermined plan.
Romans 8:28 “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
ALL THINGS—including rebellions—work together for God’s purposes.
How God Used Each Rebellion:
Rebellion 1 (Eden):
- Demonstrated the seriousness of sin
- Revealed the need for a Redeemer
- Set the stage for the Cross
- Made grace more glorious (we didn’t deserve it)
Rebellion 2 (Genesis 6):
- Showed God’s holiness (He won’t tolerate corruption)
- Preserved the pure line for Messiah
- Demonstrated salvation through judgment (the ark/Christ)
- Imprisoned the worst fallen angels as a warning
Rebellion 3 (Babel):
- Scattered humanity to prevent total corruption
- Assigned nations so God could demonstrate His sovereignty over all
- Set up the mission field for the Gospel
- Created the need for Pentecost’s reversal
Joseph’s words apply to ALL rebellions:
Genesis 50:20 “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive.”
Satan meant evil. God meant it for good—to bring salvation.
-----
JESUS: THE COMPLETE SAVIOR WHO FIXES EVERYTHING
Now we come to the heart of the story: JESUS CHRIST, the God-Man who reverses all three rebellions and completes the Father’s plan.
Jesus Reverses Rebellion 1 (Eden - Death)
Romans 5:17-19 “For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. So then as through one transgression there resulted condemnation to all men, even so through one act of righteousness there resulted justification of life to all men. For as through the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous.”
Adam brought death → Jesus brings LIFE
1 Corinthians 15:21-22, 45 “For since by a man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive… So also it is written, ‘The first man, Adam, became a living soul.’ The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.”
Jesus is the LAST ADAM—the Second Man who succeeds where the first failed.
What Adam lost, Jesus regained:
- Adam lost paradise → Jesus regains it (Revelation 22)
- Adam brought death → Jesus conquers death
- Adam was naked and ashamed → Jesus clothes us in righteousness
- Adam was cast out → Jesus brings us back into God’s presence
John 11:25-26 “Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die.’”
1 Corinthians 15:54-57 “But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, ‘Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?’ The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
JESUS DESTROYED DEATH.
Jesus Reverses Rebellion 2 (Genesis 6 - Corruption)
Hebrews 2:14-15 “Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives.”
Jesus became FULLY HUMAN (not Nephilim hybrid):
- Born of a virgin (pure human DNA from Mary)
- No human father (no corrupted seed)
- Tempted in all ways yet without sin
- Perfect humanity as God intended
He defeated the fallen angels:
Colossians 2:15 “When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, having triumphed over them through Him.”
1 Peter 3:22 “Who is at the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, after angels and authorities and powers had been subjected to Him.”
Jesus conquered:
- The Watchers (imprisoned in Tartarus)
- The demons (Nephilim spirits)
- Satan himself
- Death and Hades
He will restore uncorrupted humanity:
1 Corinthians 15:42-44, 49 “So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown a perishable body, it is raised an imperishable body; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body… Just as we have borne the image of the earthy, we will also bear the image of the heavenly.”
We will receive GLORIFIED, PERFECT bodies—humanity as God originally designed.
Jesus Reverses Rebellion 3 (Babel - Confusion/Division)
Ephesians 2:14-16 “For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, by abolishing in His flesh the enmity… so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross.”
Jesus breaks down divisions:
- Jew and Gentile united in one body
- All nations welcomed into the Kingdom
- Languages no longer separate (Pentecost)
- One people under one King
Galatians 3:28 “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”
Acts 2:5-11- At Pentecost, Jews from every nation heard the Gospel in their own language—Babel REVERSED.
Matthew 28:18-19 “And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations.’”
Jesus reclaims the nations from the fallen “sons of God” assigned at Babel.
Revelation 7:9 “After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.”
What Babel scattered, Jesus gathers.
What Babel confused, Jesus clarifies.
What Babel divided, Jesus unites.
-----
JESUS IS 100% RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR SALVATION
This is the glorious truth that sets you free from striving: Jesus does it ALL.
Before You Believed: He Chose You
Ephesians 1:4-5 “Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will.”
Before creation, God:
- Chose you in Christ
- Predestined your adoption
- Planned your holiness
- Designed it all according to His will
John 15:16 “You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain.”
You didn’t choose Him. HE CHOSE YOU.
Romans 9:16 “So then it does not depend on the man who wills or the man who runs, but on God who has mercy.”
Your salvation doesn’t depend on your will or effort—but on GOD’S MERCY.
When You Believed: He Drew You
John 6:44 “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day.”
You couldn’t come to Jesus unless the Father DREW you.
John 6:37 “All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out.”
The Father GAVE you to Jesus. And Jesus will NEVER cast you out.
Acts 13:48 “When the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord; and as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed.”
Those appointed to eternal life—BELIEVED. God’s appointment precedes belief.
1 Corinthians 2:14 “But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised.”
You were spiritually DEAD. You couldn’t understand spiritual things. But God:
Ephesians 2:4-5, 8-9 “But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)… For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
God made you alive. Faith itself is HIS GIFT. Not your work.
After You Believed: He Keeps You
This is where Christians get anxious: “Can I lose my salvation?”
NO. Because Jesus holds you, not you holding Him.
1. The Father’s Grip
John 10:27-29 “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.”
TWO HANDS holding you:
- Jesus’ hand
- The Father’s hand
NO ONE—not even you—can snatch you out.
“They will NEVER perish.”Not “might not perish if they’re good enough.” NEVER.
2. The Son’s Promise
John 6:39-40 “This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.”
Jesus will lose NOTHING the Father gave Him. He will raise you up on the last day.
This is the FATHER’S WILL. Can Jesus fail to do the Father’s will? NEVER.
Hebrews 7:25 “Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.”
Jesus saves FOREVER. He always lives to intercede for you.
When you sin, Jesus doesn’t abandon you—He intercedes for you.
Romans 8:34 “Who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.”
3. The Holy Spirit’s Seal
Ephesians 1:13-14 “In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.”
You were SEALED with the Holy Spirit.
A seal in ancient times meant:
- Ownership (you belong to God)
- Security (protected from tampering)
- Authenticity (genuine, not counterfeit)
The Holy Spirit is the PLEDGE (down payment) of your inheritance.
If you could lose salvation, God would lose His down payment. God doesn’t lose investments.
Ephesians 4:30 “Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.”
Sealed UNTIL the day of redemption. Not “sealed until you mess up.” Sealed UNTIL REDEMPTION DAY.
2 Corinthians 1:21-22 “Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God, who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge.”
God establishes you. God seals you. God gives the Spirit as guarantee.
ALL GOD’S WORK.
4. The Completed Work
Romans 8:29-30 “For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.”
Notice: GLORIFIED is past tense.
In God’s perspective, if you’re justified (declared righteous), you’re ALREADY glorified. It’s as good as done.
This is called the “Golden Chain of Redemption”:
- Foreknew → 2. Predestined → 3. Called → 4. Justified → 5. Glorified
If you’re in the chain, you go all the way to glorification. No breaks. No dropouts.
Philippians 1:6 “For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.”
HE began it. HE will perfect it. HE completes the work.
5. Nothing Can Separate You
Romans 8:35, 38-39 “Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?… For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Paul lists everything that CANNOT separate you:
- Death
- Life
- Angels
- Demons (principalities)
- Present circumstances
- Future circumstances
- Powers
- Height
- Depth
- ANY OTHER CREATED THING
Notice what’s missing? YOU. Because you’re a created thing—and not even YOU can separate yourself from God’s love.
6. Jesus Never Loses His Sheep
John 10:14-15 “I am the good shepherd, and I know My own and My own know Me, even as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.”
He KNOWS His sheep. His sheep KNOW Him.
This is relationship, not performance.
Luke 15:4-7- The shepherd leaves 99 sheep to find the ONE lost sheep. When Jesus saves you, He WON’T lose you.
Jude 24-25 “Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.”
HE is able to keep you from stumbling. HE will present you blameless.
7. Your Eternal Life Started When You Believed
John 5:24 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.”
Present tense: HAS eternal life. Not “will have if you endure.” HAS.
“Does not come into judgment”- Future judgment is settled NOW.
“Has passed from death to life”- Past tense. Already done.
1 John 5:11-13 “And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.”
You can KNOW you have eternal life. Not hope, not wish—KNOW.
If eternal life could be lost, it wouldn’t be eternal.
-----
BUT WHAT ABOUT… (Common Objections)
“What if I commit a really bad sin?”
1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Confession restores fellowship, not salvation. Salvation is permanent; fellowship fluctuates.
David committed adultery and murder (2 Samuel 11). He lost joy and fellowship (Psalm 51), but God never said, “You’re no longer My child.”
Romans 8:1 “Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
NO condemnation. Not “no condemnation unless you really blow it.” NO CONDEMNATION.
“What if I stop believing?”
2 Timothy 2:13 “If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.”
Even if your faith wavers, HIS faithfulness doesn’t. He cannot deny Himself—and you’re IN Him.
Luke 22:31-32 “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded permission to sift you like wheat; but I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail; and you, when once you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.”
Jesus prays for you that your faith won’t fail. His prayers are always answered.
John 17:11, 15 “Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name which You have given Me, that they may be one even as We are… I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one.”
Jesus prayed for the Father to KEEP you. Will the Father deny His Son’s prayer?
“What about Hebrews 6 and 10?”
Hebrews 6:4-6 and Hebrews 10:26-27are difficult passages, but they’re addressing:
- Apostates who never truly believed (like Judas)
- Hypothetical situations showing salvation’s value
- Hebrew Christians tempted to return to Judaism
But even Hebrews clarifies:
Hebrews 6:9 “But, beloved, we are convinced of better things concerning you, and things that accompany salvation, though we are speaking in this way.”
He’s confident they have “things that ACCOMPANY salvation”—genuine faith produces fruit.
Hebrews 10:39 “But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the preserving of the soul.”
True believers persevere. Not by their power, but by God’s keeping.
“What about falling away?”
1 John 2:19 “They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, so that it would be shown that they all are not of us.”
Those who “fall away” prove they were never truly saved. True believers remain.
Not because we’re strong, but because HE holds us.
-----
REST AND STOP STRIVING
This is the Gospel: JESUS DOES IT ALL.
Hebrews 4:9-11 “So there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His. Therefore let us be diligent to enter that rest, so that no one will fall, through following the same example of disobedience.”
You can REST because the work is FINISHED.
John 19:30 “Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, ‘It is finished!’ And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.”
IT IS FINISHED.
Not “it will be finished when you do your part.”
Not “it’s almost finished.”
IT IS FINISHED.
What does this mean practically?
1. Stop Trying to Earn God’s Love
You can’t earn what’s already been freely given.
Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
He loved you when you were a sinner. He doesn’t love you more now that you’re saved. He can’t—His love is already infinite.
2. Stop Fearing You’ll Lose Salvation
You didn’t earn it, so you can’t un-earn it.
It’s not based on your performance. It’s based on Christ’s performance—and He performed perfectly.
3. Start Living in Freedom
Galatians 5:1 “It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.”
You’re FREE. Not free to sin, but free FROM sin’s penalty and power.
4. Let Transformation Happen Naturally
2 Corinthians 3:18 “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.”
You’re BEING transformed—present, ongoing, passive. God does it.
You behold Jesus. The Spirit transforms you. Your job? BEHOLD.
Look at Jesus. Gaze at His glory. Meditate on His Word. Spend time in His presence.
The transformation is HIS WORK, not yours.
5. Obey Out of Love, Not Fear
1 John 4:18-19 “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. We love, because He first loved us.”
You don’t obey to avoid punishment. You obey because you LOVE Him—and He first loved you.
John 14:15 “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.”
Love produces obedience. Naturally. Not begrudgingly.
6. Serve Out of Gratitude, Not Obligation
2 Corinthians 5:14-15 “For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf.”
His love CONTROLS (compels) you. You serve because you’re LOVED, not to be loved.
-----
EAGER TO SHARE THE GOOD NEWS
When you truly understand you’re secure in Christ—saved completely, kept eternally, loved infinitely—something amazing happens:
You become EAGER to share this with others.
Not out of guilt.
Not out of duty.
Out of OVERFLOWING JOY.
Luke 8:38-39 “But the man from whom the demons had gone out was begging Him that he might accompany Him; but He sent him away, saying, ‘Return to your house and describe what great things God has done for you.’ So he went away, proclaiming throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him.”
When Jesus sets you free, you CAN’T HELP but tell others.
Acts 4:20 “For we cannot stop speaking about what we have seen and heard.”
The apostles couldn’t stop. Not because they were commanded (though they were). Because they were COMPELLED by what they’d experienced.
2 Corinthians 5:18-20 “Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.”
You’re an AMBASSADOR. You represent the King. You carry His message of reconciliation.
And when you know you’re secure, you share boldly—because rejection of the message doesn’t threaten your identity.
Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”
-----
JESUS IS COMING BACK TO COMPLETE EVERYTHING
The three rebellions have been defeated at the Cross. But the final manifestation of victory is coming.
The 1000-Year Reign (Millennium)
Revelation 20:1-6 “Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; and he threw him into the abyss, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he would not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were completed; after these things he must be released for a short time. Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years… Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years.”
Jesus will:
- Bind Satan for 1000 years
- Reign on earth from Jerusalem
- Rule with believers
- Demonstrate perfect government
- Restore creation partially
This is when:
- Isaiah 2:4 happens - swords beaten into plowshares
- Isaiah 11:6 happens - lion lies down with lamb
- Isaiah 65:20 happens - lifespans extended
- Perfect justice reigns
- All nations submit to Christ
Putting All Enemies Under His Feet
1 Corinthians 15:24-26 “Then comes the end, when He hands over the kingdom to the God and Father, when He has abolished all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be abolished is death.”
Jesus will:
- Abolish all rival rule, authority, power
- Put ALL enemies under His feet
- Destroy death itself
Philippians 2:10-11 “So that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
EVERY KNEE will bow:
- Those in heaven (angels, believers)
- Those on earth (living humans)
- Those under the earth (demons, the dead)
Every tongue will confess Jesus is Lord.
Some in worship. Some in judgment. But ALL will acknowledge Him.
The Final Rebellion and Judgment
After the 1000 years, Satan is released one last time:
Revelation 20:7-10 “When the thousand years are completed, Satan will be released from his prison, and will come out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together for the war; the number of them is like the sand of the seashore. And they came up on the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, and fire came down from heaven and devoured them. And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.”
Why release Satan?
To prove that even under perfect conditions (Christ ruling, Satan bound), human hearts still rebel when given the choice.
But this rebellion is crushed instantly. Fire from heaven devours them.
Then Satan’s final judgment:
Into the Lake of Fire—forever.
The Great White Throne Judgment
Revelation 20:11-15 “Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.”
Final judgment for all unbelievers.
Notice:
- Death and Hades are thrown into Lake of Fire (death itself destroyed)
- Anyone not in the Book of Life goes to Lake of Fire
- Judged by works (which all fall short)
But believers aren’t there. We’re already with Christ, already glorified.
New Heaven and New Earth
Revelation 21:1-5 “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, ‘Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.’ And He who sits on the throne said, ‘Behold, I am making all things new.’”
This is the FINAL reversal of all three rebellions:
Rebellion 1 (Eden) reversed:
- No more death
- No more pain
- No more crying
- No more curse
- Tree of Life restored (Revelation 22:2)
- Access to God restored
- Paradise regained—but infinitely better
Rebellion 2 (Genesis 6) reversed:
- Perfect, glorified bodies
- No corruption
- No evil
- No fallen angels (all judged)
Rebellion 3 (Babel) reversed:
- All nations gathered (Revelation 21:24)
- No more confusion
- One language of worship
- One King
- One people
- Perfect unity
The Eternal State
Revelation 21:22-27 “I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb. The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it. In the daytime (for there will be no night there) its gates will never be closed; and they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it; and nothing unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.”
Revelation 22:3-5 “There will no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His bond-servants will serve Him; they will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads. And there will no longer be any night; and they will not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God will illumine them; and they will reign forever and ever.”
Forever features:
- No curse
- Throne of God and Lamb present
- We see His face
- His name on our foreheads (sealed forever)
- No night
- No sun needed (God is the light)
- We reign forever
This is HOME. This is the goal. This is where the story ends—and begins eternally.
-----

Stop striving. Start resting.
Stop earning. Start receiving.
Stop fearing. Start loving.
Stop performing. Start abiding.
John 15:4-5 “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.”
ABIDE. Rest in Him. Stay connected.
He produces the fruit. You just remain.
