The moment that changed the trajectory of eternity was recorded in Genesis 1:26-27: “Then God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.’ God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them".

This divine decree contained elements that would ignite the jealousy and rage of Lucifer: humanity would be made in God’s image, they would be given dominion over creation, and most significantly, they would be created as male and female—a complementary duality that would reflect the very nature of God Himself.

The Hebrew word “tselem” (image) indicates not merely a representation but a substantial likeness that carries the essence and authority of the original—like DNA. When God announced His intention to create humanity in His image, He was declaring that these creatures would possess something that the angels, including Lucifer, did not possess—the capacity to reflect God’s nature through the union of male and female.

The Gift Lucifer Never Received

Genesis 2:18, 21-24 “Then the LORD God said, ‘It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.’… So the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; then He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh at that place. The LORD God fashioned into a woman the rib which He had taken from the man, and brought her to the man. The man said, ‘This at last is bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.’ For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.”

Adam received what Lucifer never did and never could—a companion made from his own substance, designed specifically for him, capable of unity that creates new life. This was not merely companionship but a divine mystery: two becoming one, separate yet unified, different yet complementary, reflecting the very nature of the Trinity in their relationship.

Eve was called Adam’s “helper” (Hebrew: “ezer”), the same word used to describe God as humanity’s helper. This was not a designation of inferiority but of divine purpose—she was perfectly designed to complete what was lacking in Adam alone. Together, they formed a complete representation of God’s image in ways that neither could accomplish separately.

The Jealousy That Birthed Rebellion

Lucifer witnessed this divine act of love and creation, and it ignited something dark within his heart. Here was a creature lower than himself in the created order, yet receiving something he had never been offered—a companion, a counterpart, the ability to create life, and most importantly, the promise of intimate fellowship with God that surpassed his own position.

Isaiah 14:12-14 “How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, you who have weakened the nations! But you said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, and I will sit on the mount of assembly in the recesses of the north. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’”

Five times Lucifer declared “I will”—five declarations of rebellion against God’s sovereign authority. But notice the final declaration: “I will make myself like the Most High.” This was not merely a desire for power but a desire to possess what God possessed, including the ability to create and the right to define identity and purpose.

The Twisted Mockery of Divine Design

Unable to receive what Adam had been given, and consumed with jealousy over God’s special love for humanity, Lucifer began to plot his revenge. If he could not have what God had given to humanity, he would destroy humanity’s ability to receive it. If he could not be like God, he would convince humanity that they could be like God—the same lie he would later whisper in the Garden.

Genesis 3:4-5 “The serpent said to the woman, ‘You surely will not die! For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.’”

But Lucifer’s rebellion went deeper than mere deception. In his jealous rage, he began to embody a twisted mockery of what he had seen God create. Since he could not have a true companion, he would become his own companion. Since he could not create life through union with another, he would attempt to recreate himself in a perverted image of the male-female duality he had witnessed.

John 8:44 “You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”

When humans reject God’s design of male and female, they are not simply making a personal choice—they are aligning themselves with Satan’s original rebellion. They are allowing his jealousy, his hatred, and his mockery of divine design to possess their minds and hearts. They become, in essence, images of his rebellion rather than images of God’s glory.

The Transgender Movement: Satan’s Ultimate Victory?

In the modern transgender movement, we see the culmination of Satan’s ancient jealousy and rebellion. Humans are now openly rejecting the fundamental aspect of God’s image—the binary design of male and female—and declaring themselves capable of determining their own identity and purpose.

Romans 1:24-25 “Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them. For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.”

This is not merely social confusion or psychological disorder—this is spiritual rebellion that mirrors Satan’s own rejection of his created purpose. When humans claim the right to define their own gender, they are claiming the right to be their own creator, their own god. They are following in the footsteps of the original rebel who declared, “I will make myself like the Most High.”

The Homosexual Connection: Satan’s Self-Love

This is Satan’s self-obsession manifested in human sexuality—the rejection of the other in favor of the same, the abandonment of God’s design for complementary union in favor of narcissistic reflection. It is love corrupted into self-worship, desire perverted into self-adoration.

The assassination of Charlie Kirk represents the same murderous spirit that has possessed Satan from the beginning. Charlie represented open dialogue, transparent debate, and the courage to speak truth in public forums. His assassin represented the opposite—cowardice, hiding, and the satanic impulse to destroy what threatens the darkness.

1 John 3:12 “Not as Cain, who was of the evil one and slew his brother. And for what reason did he slay him? Because his deeds were evil, and his brother’s were righteous.”

Cain’s murder of Abel was the first manifestation of Satan’s murderous hatred of righteousness. The assassin who killed Charlie Kirk was following the same pattern—destroying the voice of truth because it exposed the darkness of his own heart and choices.

The assassin, like Satan, operated from the shadows, struck from concealment, and then fled like a cockroach when exposed to light. In our contemporary culture, many well-meaning people believe that loving transgender individuals means affirming their chosen identity and supporting their rebellion against God’s design. This is not love—this is the cruelest form of hatred, because it seals their eternal destiny in separation from God.

The transgender individual is described here perfectly—they are “held captive” by Satan “to do his will.” They are not free; they are enslaved to the original rebel’s agenda to mock and destroy God’s design. True compassion seeks to set them free from this captivity, not to affirm them in it.

The Son of God’s Bride: The Ultimate Jealousy

Perhaps the deepest source of Satan’s jealousy is not just Adam’s companion but the reality that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is preparing to receive His bride—the Church. This represents the ultimate expression of what Satan can never have: intimate, eternal union with divine love.

Ephesians 5:25-27 “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless.”

Revelation 19:7-8 “Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready. It was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.”

Satan’s jealousy burns with particular intensity because he knows that Jesus will receive what he never can—a bride pure, holy, and perfect, united with Him in eternal love. This is the consummation of God’s design for male and female, the ultimate expression of complementary union that creates eternal life.

Every human being faces the same fundamental choice that Lucifer faced: will you accept God’s design and authority, or will you rebel against it? Deuteronomy 30:19 “I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants.”

The choice is between life and death, blessing and curse. Those who align themselves with God’s design of male and female choose life. Those who align themselves with Satan’s rebellion against that design choose death.

Revelation 21:8 “But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

Those who follow Satan in his rebellion will follow him in his punishment. There is no escape from this destiny except through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, who died to pay the penalty for rebellion and rose again to offer new life.

Even for those who have most fully embodied Satan’s rebellion against divine design, the gospel offers hope. The same grace that can save murderers, adulterers, and thieves can save those trapped in transgender deception.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 “Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.”

The key phrase is “such were some of you”—past tense. These individuals were trapped in various forms of rebellion, including sexual rebellion, but they were transformed by the power of the gospel. They were washed, sanctified, and justified. They were given new identities that aligned with God’s design rather than Satan’s rebellion.

The Truth That Sets Free

The truth about transgender identity is not cruel—it is liberating. The truth is that every person was created by God as either male or female, in His image, for His glory. No surgery, no hormones, no legal documentation can change this fundamental reality. The attempt to do so is rebellion against the Creator and alignment with His enemy.

John 8:31-32 “So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, ‘If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.’”

Freedom comes not from affirming the lie but from embracing the truth. The transgender individual is not trapped in the wrong body—they are trapped in the wrong identity, the wrong understanding of who they are and why they exist. The truth of their God-given gender, purpose, and design is what will set them free.

The Call to Choose: Charlie Kirk or the Assassin

The choice facing humanity is embodied in two figures: Charlie Kirk, who stood in the light and engaged openly with truth, and his assassin, who operated from darkness and used violence to silence opposition. One represents submission to God’s design and truth; the other represents rebellion, violence, and Satan’s agenda.

Charlie Kirk, though not perfect, represented the courage to speak truth publicly, to engage with those who disagreed, to operate in the light rather than in darkness. His assassin represented the cowardice of Satan—striking from hiding, fleeing from exposure, using murder to silence what he could not refute.

Psalm 1:1-3 “How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers.”

Psalm 1:4-6 “The wicked are not so, but they are like chaff which the wind drives away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.”

The Final Choice

Satan’s jealousy of God’s design for male and female has birthed a rebellion that spans from heaven to earth, from the Garden of Eden to the modern transgender movement. His hatred of complementary union, his envy of humanity’s capacity to reflect God’s image through male-female relationship, and his rage at Christ’s coming marriage to His bride have all combined to create the spiritual warfare we witness today.

The choice is clear: align yourself with God’s design and purpose, or align yourself with Satan’s rebellion and mockery. Choose the light of truth that exposes but heals, or choose the darkness of deception that conceals but destroys. Choose life through submission to your Creator, or choose death through rebellion against His authority.

There is no middle ground, no neutral position, no compromise available. You are either with God or against Him, reflecting His image or mocking His design, following His Son or following His enemy.

The transgender movement is not about compassion, rights, or personal freedom—it is about the ancient rebellion of Satan against the authority of God. Those who support it, promote it, or participate in it are aligning themselves with the original rebel who declared, “I will make myself like the Most High.”

True love—the love that Charlie Kirk represented and his assassin rejected—tells the truth regardless of the cost. The truth is that God made us male and female in His image, for His glory, and no human rebellion can change this fundamental reality.

Choose this day whom you will serve: the Creator who designed you in love, or the rebel who would destroy you in jealousy. Choose Charlie Kirk’s courage to stand in the light, or choose the assassin’s cowardice to hide in darkness.

The restrainer is lifting. The choice is urgent. The consequences are eternal.

Choose quickly, choose wisely, choose finally—because Satan’s rebellion is rushing toward its appointed end, and every human being must decide whether to follow him into the lake of fire or follow Jesus into eternal life.
