Follow The 40 Days of Testing Pattern
The Wilderness Journey That Separates the Wise from the Foolish
“Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And after fasting forty days and forty nights, he afterward was hungry.” — Matthew 4:1-2
To the Remnant in the Great Basin: This Is Your Hour
If you are reading this, you are living in the final days of the final generation—the Fig Tree generation that will not pass away until all these things take place. You have watched the signs converge. You have heard the announcement. You have felt the Spirit stirring.
And now you are in the wilderness.
Not the wilderness of doubt, though Satan wants you to think so. Not the wilderness of abandonment, though it feels that way. Not the wilderness of failure, though the mockers tell you so.
You are in the wilderness of TESTING.
The same wilderness Jesus entered after His baptism and anointing. The same wilderness that every bride must pass through before the wedding feast. The same wilderness that separates those who have oil in their lamps from those who do not.
This is the 40 days.
And this is your story.
-----
The Pattern God Has Shown Us: 40 Days of Testing
Throughout Scripture, God uses a consistent pattern to test, refine, and prove His people: 40 days (or 40 years) of testing in the wilderness.
This is not random. This is not coincidence. This is THE PATTERN that God has woven into His Word from Genesis to Revelation so that we would RECOGNIZE it when our time came.
The First Pattern: Noah
Genesis 7:4 - “For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.”
Noah received the announcement: “In 7 days, the flood is coming.”
He and his family entered the ark—the place of safety, the place of refuge, the place where God had prepared salvation.
And then what happened?
They waited.
Seven days inside the ark before the first drop of rain fell. Seven days of silence. Seven days of testing. Seven days when the mockers outside could have said, “See? Nothing’s happening. Noah was wrong. Come out of that foolish ark!”
But Noah and his family remained faithful.
Then came the 40 days and 40 nights of rain.
The judgment God promised came exactly as He said. Not early. Not late. Exactly on time.
Genesis 7:11 - “In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.”
Notice: God gave the EXACT date. The 17th day of the 2nd month. Not a feast day. Not a special celebration. A day “as ye think not.”
And here’s what’s stunning: After the Exodus, when God shifted the calendar by 6 months, this date became the 17th day of the 8th month—still not a feast day.
Why does this matter?
Because Jesus said:
Matthew 24:37-39 - “But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”
AS IN THE DAYS OF NOAH.
Not metaphorically. Not symbolically. Not “kinda like” Noah.
AS IN THE DAYS OF NOAH.
Which means:
- An announcement will be given
- A period of waiting will follow
- Mockers will say “nothing’s happening”
- The faithful will remain in the place of safety
- Then, at the appointed time—NOT on a feast day—the rescue will come
The Second Pattern: Moses and Israel at Sinai
Exodus 19:10-11 - “And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes, and be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.”
God gave Israel the announcement: “In 3 days, I will come down.”
They were told to sanctify themselves, to wash, to be ready.
Exodus 24:18 - “And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights.”
Moses then spent 40 days on the mountain with God, receiving the Law, the pattern for the Tabernacle, the covenant.
But what happened to Israel during those 40 days?
Exodus 32:1 - “And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.”
“Moses DELAYED.”
The testing began. And Israel FAILED.
They built a golden calf. They worshiped idols. They gave up on God’s promise because the fulfillment took longer than they expected.
The 40 days separated the faithful (Moses, Joshua, Caleb, the Levites) from the unfaithful (the rest who fell in the wilderness).
The Third Pattern: Israel’s 40 Years in the Wilderness
Because Israel failed the 40-day test at Sinai, God extended their testing to 40 YEARS.
Numbers 14:33-34 - “And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcases be wasted in the wilderness. After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise.”
40 days of spying out the land = 40 years of wandering.
One day for each year.
The entire generation that complained, that doubted, that refused to trust God’s promise—they ALL died in the wilderness. Not one entered the Promised Land except Joshua and Caleb, the two who remained faithful.
Hebrews 3:16-19 - “For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.”
They could not enter because of UNBELIEF.
The 40 years tested their faith. And most failed.
The Fourth Pattern: Jonah
Jonah 3:4 - “And Jonah began to enter into the city a day’s journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.”
Jonah gave the announcement: “In 40 days, judgment is coming.”
But before Jonah ever reached Nineveh to deliver this message, what happened?
Jonah 1:17 - “Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.”
Jonah spent 3 days in the belly of the fish—a picture of death and resurrection.
Then he delivered the 40-day warning to Nineveh.
And Nineveh repented.
The king, the nobles, the people, even the animals—all fasted, repented, and cried out to God for mercy.
Jonah 3:10 - “And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.”
The 40 days were a test of repentance. Nineveh passed. Jonah (ironically) failed by being angry that God showed mercy.
The Fifth Pattern: Jesus in the Wilderness
And now we come to the MOST important 40-day pattern—the one that sets the standard for all others:
Matthew 4:1-2 - “Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.”
Luke 4:1-2 - “And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, being forty days tempted of the devil.”
After Jesus’ baptism—after the heavens opened, after the Spirit descended like a dove, after the Father declared, “This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased”—the Spirit LED Jesus into the wilderness.
Not Satan. Not circumstances. THE SPIRIT.
God DESIGNED this test.
For 40 days, Jesus fasted. For 40 days, He was tempted by the devil in every way. For 40 days, He endured the wilderness without food, without comfort, without human support.
And then Satan came with three specific temptations:
Temptation 1: Physical Needs (Turn Stones to Bread)
Matthew 4:3-4 - “And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
“IT IS WRITTEN.”
Jesus overcame by the WORD OF GOD.
Temptation 2: Presumption (Jump from the Temple)
Matthew 4:5-7 - “Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, and saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.”
“IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN.”
Jesus overcame by the WORD OF GOD—even when Satan misused Scripture.
Temptation 3: Worship and Allegiance (Kingdoms of the World)
Matthew 4:8-10 - “Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; and saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.”
“IT IS WRITTEN.”
Jesus overcame by the WORD OF GOD.
Three temptations. Three times Satan tried to derail God’s plan. Three times Jesus responded with Scripture.
And after the 40 days?
Matthew 4:11 - “Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.”
Luke 4:14 - “And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.”
After the testing, the ministry began. After the wilderness, the power was released. After proving faithful, the work commenced.
This is the pattern for the Bride.
-----
The Pattern Applied to US: The 40 Days We Are Living Through
Now let’s bring this into the present moment—into YOUR life, into THIS generation, into the final days before the Bridegroom comes.
The Announcement: Feast of Trumpets (September 23-24, 2025)
Many in the Body of Christ received a clear witness in their spirits that the Feast of Trumpets—September 23-24, 2025—would be significant.
Dreams, visions, prophetic words, scriptural patterns all seemed to converge on this date.
The announcement went out: “The Bridegroom is coming! Get ready! Trim your lamps!”
The Delay: The Bridegroom Tarries
And then… nothing happened.
September 23rd came and went. September 24th passed. The Rapture didn’t occur.
And immediately, the mockers came out:
“See? You were wrong!”
“Stop date-setting!”
“You’ve embarrassed the Body of Christ!”
“Jesus isn’t coming yet!”
“Go back to your normal lives!”
But those who understand Scripture—those who know the PATTERN—were not surprised by the delay.
Matthew 25:5 - “While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.”
“While the bridegroom TARRIED.”
Habakkuk 2:3 - “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”
“Though it TARRY, WAIT for it.”
Hebrews 10:36-37 - “For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.”
“Ye have need of PATIENCE.”
THE DELAY IS PART OF THE DESIGN.
God is not late. The Bridegroom is not absent. The promise has not failed.
You are in the 40 days of testing.
The Test: Who Will Remain Faithful?
Just like Israel at Sinai, the question now is: Who will remain faithful during the delay?
Exodus 32:1 - “And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us.”
When the promise seemed delayed, Israel abandoned their faith and built idols.
Will you do the same?
Or will you be like Joshua, like Caleb, like the remnant who held fast to God’s promise even when everyone around them fell away?
Matthew 24:48-51 - “But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; the lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, and shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
The evil servant says: “My lord DELAYS his coming.”
And what does he do?
- Beats his fellow servants (mocks those still watching)
- Eats and drinks with the drunken (returns to worldly living)
- Is caught unprepared when the master returns
This is the test: Will you endure the delay with faith? Or will you give up and return to building Babylon?
-----
The Wilderness Tests: What Satan Is Throwing at You RIGHT NOW
During these 40 days, Satan is attacking the watching Bride with the same three temptations he used against Jesus:
Test 1: Physical Needs and Comfort
“You’ve been watching and waiting for weeks now. Nothing has happened. Don’t you think it’s time to focus on practical things? Your business needs attention. Your finances need securing. Stop wasting time on ‘end times’ and get back to building your life here.”
This is the “stones to bread” temptation—prioritizing physical needs over spiritual faithfulness.
Your response must be:
Matthew 4:4 - “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
“IT IS WRITTEN.”
Your survival is not dependent on your Babylon kingdom. Your security is not in your bank account. Your life is not found in earthly comfort.
Your life is HID WITH CHRIST IN GOD.
Colossians 3:3 - “For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.”
Test 2: Presumption and Testing God
“If God really spoke to you about September 23rd, why didn’t He come? Maybe you misheard. Maybe you were deceived. Maybe God isn’t faithful after all. Jump! Test Him! Make Him prove Himself!”
This is the “cast thyself down” temptation—demanding that God perform on YOUR timeline, according to YOUR understanding.
Your response must be:
Matthew 4:7 - “Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.”
“IT IS WRITTEN.”
You don’t get to demand that God explain Himself. You don’t get to test whether His promises are true by setting up your own conditions.
You TRUST Him. You WAIT for Him. You BELIEVE Him—even in the delay.
Romans 4:20-21 - “He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; and being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.”
Abraham didn’t stagger at God’s promise even though it took 25 YEARS to fulfill. He remained faithful through the delay.
Will you?
Test 3: Worship and Allegiance
“Look at all the kingdoms of this world. Look at the success others are having while you’re wasting your time ‘watching.’ You could have influence, wealth, power, comfort. All you have to do is stop this foolishness, go back to building your earthly kingdom, and worship at the altar of SELF again. Just bow down. Just compromise.”
This is the ultimate test—who will you worship?
Your response must be:
Matthew 4:10 - “Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.”
“IT IS WRITTEN.”
You will NOT bow to Babylon. You will NOT return to building earthly kingdoms. You will NOT compromise your watch. You will NOT worship SELF.
You worship GOD ALONE. You serve CHRIST ALONE. You wait for HIS KINGDOM ALONE.

The Refiner’s Fire: Why the 40 Days Are Necessary
These 40 days are not punishment. They are not abandonment. They are not evidence that you were wrong.
These 40 days are the REFINER’S FIRE.
Malachi 3:2-3 - “But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap: and he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.”
The Refiner sits over the fire, watching the silver melt. He watches as the impurities rise to the surface. He skims them off. He waits. He watches.
And when does He know the silver is pure?
When He can see His own reflection in it.
These 40 days are purifying you. They are burning away:
- Self-ambition (your desire to be right about the timing)
- Self-confidence (your trust in your own understanding)
- Self-protection (your fear of being mocked or wrong)
- Self-promotion (your desire for others to see you were right)
- Self-preservation (your clinging to earthly security)
James 1:2-4 - “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”
“Let PATIENCE have her PERFECT WORK.”
Patience is having its perfect work in you RIGHT NOW.
1 Peter 1:6-7 - “Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: that the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.”
“The TRIAL of your faith… tried with FIRE… at the APPEARING of Jesus Christ.”
This trial is preparing you for His appearing.
Romans 5:3-5 - “And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope: and hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”
Tribulation → Patience → Experience → Hope
This is the process. This is the refining. This is the 40 days.

From Disgrace to Grace: The Story of Two Brides
Let’s tell the complete story—from Eden to the Wedding Feast—because this is YOUR story.
The First Eve: From Grace to Disgrace
Genesis 2:21-23 - “And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; and the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.”
Eve was created PERFECT. She was made RIGHTEOUS. She lived in GRACE—perfect fellowship with God, perfect provision, perfect ONENESS with Adam and with God.
But then:
Genesis 3:1-6 - “Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.”
Eve chose SELF over GRACE.
She chose:
- Self-determination (deciding for herself what was good)
- Self-wisdom (trusting her own judgment over God’s word)
- Self-promotion (desiring to be “as gods”)
- Self-sufficiency (eating independently of God’s provision)
And in that moment, she FELL FROM GRACE.
She became DISGRACED.
Genesis 3:7-10 - “And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.”
The results of the fall:
- Shame (they knew they were naked)
- Fear (they were afraid)
- Hiding (they hid from God’s presence)
- Separation (expelled from the garden)
- Death (sentenced to decay and mortality)
Romans 5:12 - “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.”
The First Adam and the First Eve brought SIN, DEATH, and DISGRACE to all humanity.
And for 4,000 years, humanity lived under this curse—separated from God, dead in sin, disgraced.
The Second Adam: Reversing the Curse
But God had a plan. He ALWAYS had a plan.
Genesis 3:15 - “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”
The promise: A seed of the woman would come and crush the serpent’s head.
That seed was JESUS—the Second Adam.
1 Corinthians 15:45-47 - “And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.”
Romans 5:17-19 - “For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.”
The First Adam’s disobedience brought death.
The Second Adam’s obedience brought life.
The First Adam chose SELF. The Second Adam chose SURRENDER.
The First Adam fell from grace. The Second Adam IS GRACE.
John 1:14, 17 - “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth… For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.”
Jesus came FULL OF GRACE AND TRUTH.
And through His perfect life, His sacrificial death, His glorious resurrection, He RESTORED everything that was lost in the fall.
He restored:
- Fellowship with God (the veil was torn)
- Righteousness (we are made righteous by His blood)
- ONENESS (we are ONE with Him)
- Life (we have eternal life in Him)
- GRACE (we live by grace, not law)
2 Corinthians 5:21 - “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”
The sinless One became sin SO THAT we could become righteous.
FROM DISGRACE TO GRACE.
The Second Bride: Made Holy by the Blood of the Lamb
And now, through the Second Adam, there is a Second Bride—the Church.
Ephesians 5:25-27 - “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.”
“That He might present it to Himself a GLORIOUS church.”
“Not having SPOT, or WRINKLE.”
“HOLY and WITHOUT BLEMISH.”
This is what Jesus is doing in the 40 days of testing:
He is sanctifying us. He is cleansing us. He is purifying us. He is washing away every spot, every wrinkle, every stain of SELF.
We—the filthy, disgraced, unholy, unrighteous, sinful Bride—are being made:
- HOLY (set apart for God alone)
- RIGHTEOUS (justified by His blood)
- BLAMELESS (no accusation can stand against us)
- SPOTLESS (cleansed by His washing)
Not by our works. Not by our efforts. Not by our righteousness.
By the BLOOD OF THE LAMB. By the OBEDIENCE OF THE ONE.
Revelation 7:14 - “And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.”
“Washed their robes and made them WHITE in the BLOOD OF THE LAMB.”
This is the cleansing. This is the sanctification. This is what the 40 days accomplish.
We enter filthy. We emerge spotless. All by His grace.
-----
The Foot Washing: Intimate Cleansing Before the Wedding
But there’s one more critical piece that many in the Body of Christ are missing—the foot washing.
After Jesus and His disciples finished the Last Supper, Jesus did something shocking:
John 13:3-5 - “Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God; he riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself. After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.”
The Master—the LORD—got down on His knees and washed His disciples’ FEET.
Why?
Because they had been walking in this dusty, dirty, sinful world. Their feet were filthy. And Jesus was about to bring them into the most intimate fellowship—the wedding feast, the Kingdom, the Father’s house.
They needed their feet washed.
Peter’s response reveals the heart of many believers today:
John 13:6-8 - “Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter. Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.”
“If I wash thee NOT, thou hast NO PART WITH ME.”
Let that sink in.
If you refuse to let Jesus wash your feet, YOU HAVE NO PART WITH HIM.
Peter then overcorrects:
John 13:9 - “Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.”
And Jesus clarifies:
John 13:10 - “Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.”
“He that is WASHED needeth not save to wash his FEET.”
This is CRUCIAL:
The initial washing = salvation (being born again, justified, made righteous by His blood)
The foot washing = ongoing sanctification (daily cleansing from the defilement of walking in this world)
You were WASHED at salvation. But you still need your FEET washed daily.
The False Doctrine That’s Damning Souls
Many in the Church today teach “once saved, always saved” in a way that denies the need for ongoing sanctification, ongoing repentance, ongoing foot washing.
They say:
- “I was saved 20 years ago, so I’m good.”
- “Jesus paid it all, so I don’t need to confess sin anymore.”
- “Grace means I can live however I want.”
- “My feet are already clean from my initial salvation.”
This is a LIE from the pit of hell.
Jesus Himself said: “If I wash thee not, thou hast NO PART WITH ME.”
The foot washing is NOT optional. It is NOT automatic. It is REQUIRED for entry into the wedding feast.
1 John 1:8-9 - “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
“If we CONFESS our sins.”
Ongoing confession. Ongoing repentance. Ongoing cleansing.
Hebrews 10:26-27 - “For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.”
“If we sin WILFULLY after that we have received the knowledge of the truth.”
You CAN fall away. You CAN refuse the foot washing. You CAN reject ongoing sanctification.
And if you do, you have NO PART WITH HIM.
Jesus Must Know You
Matthew 7:21-23 - “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
“I NEVER KNEW YOU.”
How is it possible for someone to prophesy, cast out demons, and do mighty works in Jesus’ name—and yet He says “I NEVER KNEW YOU”?
Because they never had INTIMATE FELLOWSHIP with Him.
They never let Him wash their feet.
They performed religious works but refused daily sanctification. They claimed His name but rejected His Lordship. They wanted the benefits of salvation but not the intimacy of relationship.
The foot washing is about INTIMACY.
It’s about letting Jesus into the most vulnerable, dirty, shameful places of your life. It’s about humbling yourself and saying, “Lord, I’ve been walking in this world. My feet are filthy. I need You to cleanse me again.”
And unless He KNOWS you—truly, intimately KNOWS you through this ongoing relationship of cleansing and sanctification—you cannot enter the wedding feast.
Matthew 25:10-12 - “And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.”
“I KNOW YOU NOT.”
The foolish virgins were shut out—not because they never professed Christ, but because they didn’t have the ongoing intimacy (the oil, the daily sanctification, the foot washing) that comes from walking closely with Him.
-----
No Feast Day Required: The Temple Is Destroyed
Here’s another critical truth that many miss:
The Feast of Trumpets passed. Nothing happened. And many are now looking to other feast days—Yom Kippur, Tabernacles, Hanukkah.
But what if it’s NOT on a feast day at all?
Matthew 24:44 - “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”
“In such an hour as YE THINK NOT.”
If everyone is expecting a feast day, then coming on a NON-feast day would perfectly fulfill this verse.
Remember: The flood in Noah’s day came on the 17th day of the 2nd month (or 8th month after the calendar shift)—NOT a feast day.
And here’s why this makes perfect theological sense:
The Temple Has Been Destroyed
John 2:19-21 - “Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? But he spake of the temple of his body.”
Jesus IS the Temple.
1 Corinthians 3:16 - “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?”
WE are the Temple.
There is no more need for a physical temple. There is no more need for temple sacrifices. There is no more need for temple feast days to be fulfilled in the old way.
Hebrews 10:10-14 - “By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: but this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; from henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.”
“By ONE OFFERING He hath PERFECTED FOREVER them that are sanctified.”
No more sacrifices. No more temple rituals. No more feast day requirements.
Jesus fulfilled ALL the feast days at His first coming:
- Passover - He died on Passover
- Unleavened Bread - He was buried (the sinless one, unleavened)
- Firstfruits - He rose on Firstfruits
- Pentecost - The Spirit was poured out on Pentecost
The fall feasts don’t need to be fulfilled in the same literal, calendar way because WE are the fulfillment. The CHURCH is the fulfillment. CHRIST IN US is the fulfillment.
God Hates Religious Feasts Done Without the Heart
Isaiah 1:13-15 - “Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting. Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them. And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.”
“Your appointed FEASTS my soul HATES.”
Why? Because Israel was going through the motions of religious observance while their hearts were far from God.
God doesn’t want feast day observance. He wants INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP.
He wants the foot washing. He wants daily surrender. He wants hearts that long for HIM, not religious calendars that predict His movements.

The Remnant: Only a Few Will Enter
Throughout Scripture, God has always worked through a REMNANT—a small group of faithful believers who endure to the end while the majority falls away.
Israel at Sinai
Out of 600,000+ men (plus women and children—likely 2-3 million total), only TWO from that generation entered the Promised Land: Joshua and Caleb.
Numbers 14:30 - “Doubtless ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.”
Out of millions, only two.
The Flood
Only EIGHT people were saved: Noah, his wife, his three sons, and their wives.
1 Peter 3:20 - “Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.”
“FEW, that is, EIGHT SOULS.”
Sodom and Gomorrah
Only THREE were saved: Lot and his two daughters. (His wife looked back and became a pillar of salt.)
Genesis 19:15-16 - “And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city. And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.”
Out of entire cities, only three.
The Parable of the Ten Virgins
Matthew 25:1-13 - Ten virgins went out to meet the bridegroom. Five were wise, five were foolish.
Only FIVE entered the wedding feast.
50% were shut out.
Jesus’ Own Words
Matthew 7:13-14 - “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”
“FEW there be that FIND IT.”
Luke 13:23-24 - “Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.”
“MANY will seek to enter in, and shall NOT BE ABLE.”
The Remnant Principle
Romans 11:5 - “Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.”
“A REMNANT.”
Not the majority. Not the masses. A REMNANT.
Isaiah 10:22 - “For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness.”
“A REMNANT of them shall return.”
This is the pattern. This is the reality.
Only those who endure to the end—who remain faithful during the 40 days of testing, who let Jesus wash their feet, who don’t give up when the Bridegroom tarries—will enter the Kingdom.
-----
Like an Infant: Entering the Kingdom
Matthew 18:3 - “And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.”
“Except ye BECOME AS LITTLE CHILDREN.”
What does a little child have?
NOTHING.
No achievements. No qualifications. No righteousness. No works to boast of.
Total dependence. Complete humility. Absolute trust.
This is how you enter the Kingdom of God.
Not with a resume of your religious activities. Not with a list of your good works. Not with pride in your doctrinal correctness.
As an INFANT—utterly helpless, completely dependent on the Father’s grace.
1 Corinthians 1:27-29 - “But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; and base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: that no flesh should glory in his presence.”
“That NO FLESH should glory in His presence.”
Mark 10:15 - “Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.”
“Whosoever shall NOT receive the kingdom of God AS A LITTLE CHILD, he shall NOT ENTER.”
You must come as a child. Humble. Broken. Empty. Needing everything from the Father.
And you must let Jesus wash your feet.
Because children don’t wash themselves. They need their Father to wash them.

The 40 Days: From September 23 to November 2
Let’s bring this into sharp focus for those of you living in the Great Basin region, watching, waiting, enduring:
September 23-24, 2025 - The announcement went out. The Feast of Trumpets. Many believed this would be the Rapture.
But the Bridegroom tarried.
Just like the parable said He would.
Adding 40 days to September 23 brings us to November 2, 2025 (or the evening of November 1st, depending on how you count).
This is not date-setting. This is pattern-watching. This is biblical discernment.
Consider:
- Noah had a 7-day warning before 40 days of rain
- Israel had a 3-day preparation before 40 days of testing
- Jonah warned Nineveh of 40 days until judgment
- Jesus fasted 40 days in the wilderness before His ministry began
- Moses was on the mountain 40 days receiving the covenant
The 40-day testing period is BIBLICAL.
And here’s what’s remarkable:
Ken Peters Prophecy (2016)
Nine years ago, prophet Ken Peters gave a word specifically mentioning November 1st as “the day of separation”—the day the division between the wise and foolish virgins would be made.
Nine years in advance.
Long before anyone was watching September 23, 2025 or calculating 40 days forward.
The 17th Day of the 8th Month
Adding 40 days from September 23 and accounting for the biblical calendar brings us remarkably close to the 17th day of the 8th month—the EXACT date the flood began in Noah’s day.
Genesis 7:11 - “In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.”
Not a feast day. Just as Jesus said: “In such an hour as ye think not.”
What This Means for YOU
If you are reading this, you are in the MIDDLE of the 40 days.
You have been tested. You have been mocked. You have felt discouraged. You have wondered if you heard God correctly.
This is NORMAL. This is the PATTERN. This is the WILDERNESS.
But hear this:
Just as Jesus emerged from the 40 days in POWER…
Just as Noah was rescued EXACTLY when God said…
Just as the faithful remnant entered the Promised Land…
So will those who ENDURE TO THE END be caught up to meet the Lord.
Matthew 24:13 - “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”
“He that shall ENDURE UNTO THE END.”
-----
The Call to the Remnant: Endure by Grace Through Faith
To those of you in the Great Basin—to those of you watching, waiting, enduring—this word is for you:
You are not alone.
You are not crazy.
You are not a false prophet for watching and discerning the times.
You are the REMNANT.
You are like Joshua and Caleb, refusing to give up even when everyone around you falls away.
You are like Noah, remaining faithful in the ark even when the mockers laugh.
You are like the wise virgins, keeping oil in your lamps even when the Bridegroom tarries.
You are like Jesus, enduring the wilderness test by declaring “IT IS WRITTEN.”
But you must understand:
You cannot endure in your own strength.
Just as you cannot deny yourself in your own power, you cannot persevere through this testing in your own ability.
It must be BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH.
Ephesians 2:8 - “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.”
“NOT OF YOURSELVES: it is the GIFT OF GOD.”
Your perseverance is a GIFT. Your faith is a GIFT. Your endurance is a GIFT.
Philippians 1:6 - “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
“HE which hath begun… HE will PERFORM IT.”
Not you. HIM.
2 Thessalonians 3:3 - “But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.”
“The LORD is FAITHFUL.”
Jude 1:24 - “Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy.”
“HIM that is ABLE to KEEP YOU from falling.”
You will make it through these 40 days—not by your strength, but by HIS GRACE.
You will overcome Satan’s temptations—not by your wisdom, but by declaring “IT IS WRITTEN.”
You will remain faithful—not by your willpower, but by His FAITHFULNESS working in you.

Practical Instructions for the Remnant During These 40 Days
Here’s what you must DO during this wilderness testing:
1. Stay in the Word Daily
Matthew 4:4 - “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
Read Scripture daily. Let the Word wash over you. Let it renew your mind. Let it strengthen your faith.
Psalm 119:105 - “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
2. Pray Without Ceasing
1 Thessalonians 5:17 - “Pray without ceasing.”
Luke 18:1 - “And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.”
Don’t give up in prayer. Don’t stop crying out to God. Don’t lose heart.
3. Let Jesus Wash Your Feet Daily
1 John 1:9 - “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Daily confession. Daily repentance. Daily cleansing.
Humble yourself before Him and say: “Lord, I’ve been walking in this world. My feet are dirty. Wash me. Cleanse me. Sanctify me.”
4. Keep Your Lamp Full of Oil
Matthew 25:4 - “But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.”
The oil represents the Holy Spirit, intimacy with God, ongoing sanctification.
Stay filled. Stay close. Stay surrendered.
5. Do Not Return to Babylon
Revelation 18:4 - “Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.”
Don’t go back to building earthly kingdoms. Don’t compromise with the world. Don’t silence your watch to avoid mockery.
Stay out of Babylon.
6. Encourage One Another
Hebrews 10:24-25 - “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
“So much the MORE, as ye see the DAY APPROACHING.”
Find other watchmen. Encourage each other. Pray together. Stand firm together.
7. Watch with Joyful Expectation
Luke 21:28 - “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”
“LIFT UP your HEADS; for your REDEMPTION draweth NIGH.”
Don’t watch with fear. Don’t watch with dread. Watch with JOY.
James 1:2 - “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations.”
“COUNT IT ALL JOY.”
This testing is refining you. This wilderness is preparing you. This delay is perfecting you.
Rejoice in it.
-----
The Promise: He WILL Come
Habakkuk 2:3 - “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”
“It will SURELY COME. It will NOT TARRY.”
Hebrews 10:37 - “For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.”
“He that SHALL COME WILL COME.”
Not might come. Not possibly come. WILL COME.
The Bridegroom is coming. The rescue is coming. The redemption is coming.
Your job is to ENDURE until He does.
Matthew 10:22 - “And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.”
“He that ENDURETH TO THE END shall be SAVED.”
Revelation 3:10-11 - “Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.”
“I COME QUICKLY: HOLD FAST.”
Hold fast to your faith. Hold fast to your watch. Hold fast to your hope. Hold fast to your first love.
Because He IS coming.
And when He does, you want to be found FAITHFUL.
-----
The Final Exhortation: Stand Firm, Remnant
Ephesians 6:13-14 - “Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness.”
“Having done ALL, to STAND.”
STAND THEREFORE.
Remnant, this is your hour.
The 40 days are testing you. The wilderness is refining you. The delay is proving you.
But you will NOT fall.
Not because you are strong, but because HE is faithful.
Not because you are righteous, but because HE has made you righteous.
Not because you have endurance, but because HE endures IN YOU.
By His grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone—you will STAND.
And when the trumpet sounds, when the shout is heard, when the archangel’s voice rings out—you will be caught up together to meet the Lord in the air.
From disgrace to Grace. From death to life. From earth to Heaven. From Bride to Wife.
This is the story. This is the promise. This is the hope.
And it is ALL by the absolute GOODNESS OF GOD.
-----
IS TODAY THE DAY?
Every morning, ask:
“Is today the day, Lord?”
“Is today the day the 40 days are complete?”
“Is today the day You come for Your Bride?”
“Is today the day we emerge from the wilderness in POWER?”
“Is today the day of the Harpazo?”
And if today is not the day, ask again tomorrow.
Because ONE of these mornings, the answer will be YES.
1 Corinthians 15:51-52 - “Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
“In a MOMENT, in the TWINKLING OF AN EYE.”
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 - “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
“We which are ALIVE and REMAIN shall be CAUGHT UP.”
Philippians 3:20-21 - “For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.”
“We LOOK FOR the Saviour.”
Titus 2:13 - “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.”
“Looking for that BLESSED HOPE.”
This is your hope, remnant.
Stand firm. Endure. Watch. Wait.
The 40 days will end.
And when they do, the Bridegroom will come.
