10 Virgins, 5 are Left Behind
The Final Call
A Heart's Cry from Craig and Wendy Rogers - September 2025 - Days Before the Harpazo
The Raw Truth About the Ten Virgins
Let's be brutally honest about what Jesus taught in Matthew 25:1-13, because your eternal destiny may depend on understanding this parable correctly.
When Jesus spoke of "ten virgins," He wasn't talking about sexual purity or moral behavior. In biblical terms, a "virgin" represents someone who is pure in their devotion to Christ - set apart, consecrated, betrothed to Him as His bride. Paul uses this exact imagery in 2 Corinthians 11:2: "For I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy; for I betrothed you to one husband, so that to Christ I might present you as a pure virgin."
All ten were virgins. All ten were believers. All ten were part of the church, waiting for their Bridegroom.
But here's where it gets uncomfortable, raw, and yes - offensive to our modern sensibilities:
Five were wise, and five were foolish. Five were ready, and five were not. Five went in to the wedding feast, and five were left outside with the door shut.
The oil represents the Holy Spirit's indwelling presence and power - not just salvation, but the ongoing, active, overflowing relationship with Jesus that comes from walking in His Spirit. The wise virgins had extra oil - they were filled to overflowing, prepared for the long wait, ready for whenever the Bridegroom appeared. THEY KNEW THE HARPAZO HAD COME!
The foolish virgins had oil once, but their lamps were going out. They had become spiritually dry, complacent, unprepared. They were focused entirely on the cares of this world, and they did an excellent job doing it. But like Martha was told, Mary was doing the right thing to sit at Jesus’ feet. When the 5 unwise virgins realized their desperate condition, they went to "buy" oil from the "dealers." TODAY, BECOME A WISE VIRGIN.
Here's the devastating truth: There ARE no dealers who sell the Holy Spirit's oil. You cannot purchase spiritual preparedness at the last minute. You cannot borrow someone else's relationship with Jesus. You cannot buy what can only be received as a gift through time spent with God in prayer, worship, and His Word.
The "dealers" they sought represent the false hope that spiritual preparation can be obtained quickly, externally, or through human effort when crisis hits. But when the door shut, it was too late. Their desperate cry, "Lord, lord, open up for us!" was met with the most terrifying words in Scripture: "Truly I say to you, I do not know you" (Matthew 25:11-12).
This parable isn't about losing salvation - it's about being an unprepared believer when Jesus returns. It's about the difference between having a ticket to the wedding and being ready for the wedding, or behind left behind to go through the Great Tribulation. It's about the oil that cannot be shared, borrowed, or purchased - the intimate, personal, ongoing relationship with Jesus that makes you ready for His appearance.
The application to our current circumstances is sobering: If Jesus comes in the next few days, will you be among the wise virgins whose lamps are burning bright with the oil of His Spirit? Or will you be among the foolish who have grown spiritually cold, distracted by the world, unprepared for His sudden appearing?
But here's what we must make absolutely clear: This preparation, this "oil," this readiness - it's not about works. It's not about earning anything. It's 100% about God's grace, His gift of mercy.
We are NOT calling you to work your way to readiness. We are calling you to enter into Jesus' rest, His Sabbath rest, and simply BELIEVE. Believe in the goodness of God. Believe in His Word. Believe that He is coming soon. Believe that His grace is sufficient. NO DOUBLE-MINDEDNESS.
The oil comes through relationship, not religion. Through faith, not works. Through resting in His finished work, not striving in your own effort.
But you must choose to believe. You must choose to receive the gift, proving you believe. You must choose to be ready by accepting His gift. You can’t do anything, nothing. It is a 100% gift. The door is about to shut.
Our Story Begins With Desperation
My name is Craig Rogers, and this is my wife Wendy. We're writing to you with hearts that are literally breaking, hands that are trembling, and spirits that are crying out in desperate urgency. We've spent years in prayer, and decades in God's Word, and what we've discovered has left us sleepless, burdened beyond measure, and compelled to reach every single person we can before it's too late.
We're not prophets. We're not special. We're just two people who love Jesus Christ and believe His Word with everything in us. And that Word is screaming at us that time has run out.
The Peace That Changes Everything
Friends, let us tell you about the Jesus we serve. This isn't some distant religious figure or theological concept. This is the Son of the Living God who has secured complete and absolute peace between Heaven and Earth. When Jesus said "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth" (Matthew 28:18), He wasn't speaking metaphorically.
He meant it literally. Completely. Absolutely.
The warfare is over. The victory is won. Satan and his demons tremble at His name. The principalities and powers that rule over nations have been disarmed and defeated (Colossians 2:15). Every demon that has ever tormented a human being must bow to His authority when believers command them in His name.
Jesus holds the keys of death and hell (Revelation 1:18). He has conquered the grave. He has made peace through the blood of His cross (Colossians 1:20). And now - RIGHT NOW - He's coming back for those who belong to Him.
The Promise That's About to Be Fulfilled
Wendy and I have been married for 34 years, and we've lived countless hours about what it means to wait for someone you love, in my case, Wendy. The anticipation. The preparation. The constant watching for their arrival. That's what the church has been doing for 2,000 years - waiting for our Bridegroom to return.
But we're not just waiting anymore. We're at the door.
When Jesus said, "In My Father's house are many dwelling places... I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also" (John 14:2-3), He was making a wedding promise.
Jewish grooms would go to prepare the wedding chamber in their father's house, and when it was ready, they would return for their bride. The bride never knew exactly when - could be day or night - but she had to be ready. Always ready.
The chamber is prepared. The Father has said "Go get your bride." And Jesus is coming.
The Signs That Cannot Be Ignored
Please, we're begging you - look around! The signs Jesus gave us aren't symbolic. They're literal. They're happening. They're undeniable.
Israel is back in the land - the fig tree Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24:32 has put forth its leaves. For 1,878 years, there was no Israel. Then in 1948, in a single day, the nation was reborn. Just like Isaiah prophesied: "Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Can a land be born in one day? Can a nation be brought forth all at once?" (Isaiah 66:8)
Jerusalem is under Jewish control - Jesus said Jerusalem would be trampled by Gentiles "until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled" (Luke 21:24). In 1967, for the first time in over 2,500 years, Jerusalem came back under Jewish control.
Knowledge is increasing exponentially - Daniel was told to "seal up the book, for knowledge shall increase" (Daniel 12:4). We've gone from horses to spacecraft in 100 years. From letters to instant global communication. The acceleration is mind-boggling.
The whole world can watch events simultaneously - Revelation 11:9-10 speaks of the whole world seeing the two witnesses. For most of history, this was impossible. Now it's Tuesday evening news.
But here's the sign that makes our hearts race:
The Feast That Changes Everything
September 23rd or 24th, 2025. The Feast of Trumpets.
Wendy and I have been studying the Jewish feasts, and we've discovered something that has rocked our world. When Jesus said "But of that day and hour no one knows" (Matthew 24:36), He was using a specific Jewish idiom that every Hebrew listener would have understood immediately.
"No one knows the day or hour" was the common expression for the Feast of Trumpets - the only feast that required two witnesses to spot the new moon before it could begin. It could start on day 29 or 30 of the previous month. The entire nation would be watching, waiting for those two witnesses to confirm the sighting.
Think about this: Paul said we would be caught up "at the last trumpet" (1 Corinthians 15:52). The Feast of Trumpets involves 100 trumpet blasts, with the final one called the "last trump."
The resurrection of the dead and the catching away of the living church happens at the sound of a trumpet. "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air" (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).
We're not setting dates. We're recognizing the season. And that season is now. This year. This month. These days.
The Authority Jesus Gave Us
Here's something that has transformed how we live every single day: Jesus didn't just save us and leave us powerless. He gave us authority. Real authority. Functional authority.
"Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you" Luke 10:19
We've seen demons flee when commanded in Jesus' name. We've watched oppression lift, addictions broken, torment ended. Not because we're special, but because His authority is real and He's given it to every believer.
But here's what's crucial to understand: Jesus gave us authority over demons - individual evil spirits that possess and oppress people. He did NOT give us authority over the principalities and powers that rule over territories and nations. Those require different spiritual warfare - prayer, standing firm in God's armor, intercession.
The demons know their time is short. They're more active, more desperate, more vicious than ever. But they still have to bow to the name of Jesus when believers exercise the authority He gave us.
What We're All Escaping
This part breaks our hearts to write, but you need to know what's coming after the church is taken.
Believers who are ready will escape "the hour of testing that is about to come upon the whole world" (Revelation 3:10). We're not destined for God's wrath (1 Thessalonians 5:9). We're rescued from the coming judgment.
But those left behind will face seven years of unprecedented horror:
Death on a scale never seen - one-fourth of earth's population dies in the first half (Revelation 6:8)
Demonic creatures released from the pit to torment humanity for five months (Revelation 9:1-11)
The rise of the Antichrist and his global government (Revelation 13)
The mark of the beast - without it, no one can buy or sell (Revelation 13:16-17)
Those who refuse the mark will be hunted down and killed (Revelation 20:4)
Natural disasters beyond imagination - earthquakes, meteors, poisoned water, scorching heat (Revelation 6-16)
This isn't symbolic. This isn't metaphorical. This is coming to planet Earth.
We've read these chapters until we've wept. The suffering will be unimaginable. And it's all avoidable - if people will simply believe in Jesus Christ before He comes for His church.
The Business Jesus Commanded
"Do business with this until I come back" Luke 19:13
What business? The business of souls. The business of the kingdom. The business of rescuing people from hell.
Every day Wendy and I wake up knowing that someone we talk to might be their last chance to hear the gospel before the door closes. We can't go to the grocery store without wondering if the cashier knows Jesus. We can't drive down the street without praying for the people in the houses we pass.
This isn't normal Christian living anymore. This is emergency evangelism.
We're not trying to build ministries or grow churches or write books. We're trying to pull people out of the fire before the fire consumes them.
Why We're Not Surprised
Paul told us that the day of the Lord wouldn't take us by surprise like a thief (1 Thessalonians 5:4). We're not in darkness. We're children of the light. We can see what's coming.
The thief comes for unbelievers - those who are saying "peace and safety" when sudden destruction comes (1 Thessalonians 5:2-3). But we're watching. We're ready. We're expecting Him.
When the two witnesses confirm that new moon and the Feast of Trumpets begins, our hearts will be pounding not with fear but with anticipation. This is what we've been waiting for our entire lives.
Our Desperate Plea to the Great Basin
From the mountains of Montana to the deserts of Nevada, from the cities of Utah to the valleys of Colorado - we're crying out to you!
We know there are thousands of believers in this region who have grown comfortable, distracted, spiritually asleep. The beauty of these mountains, the prosperity of these cities, the peace of these communities has lulled many into complacency.
But Jesus told a parable about ten virgins - all believers, all waiting for the bridegroom, but five were unprepared when he came. When they tried to buy oil at the last minute, the door was already shut. They begged to be let in, but the bridegroom said, "I do not know you" (Matthew 25:12).
Are you one of the five wise virgins with oil in your lamp? Or are you one of the five foolish ones who will be left frantically knocking on a closed door?
Time for Brutal Honesty
Let us ask you some questions that might save your soul:
Are you filled with the Holy Spirit? Not just saved, but walking in the fullness of God's Spirit? Do you have the "extra oil" that can't be borrowed from anyone else?
Are you actively sharing the gospel? When did you last lead someone to Christ? When did you last even try? Jesus said we'd be "fishers of men" - are you fishing or just swimming?
Do you love His appearing? Paul said there's a crown for "all who have loved His appearing" (2 Timothy 4:8). Do you wake up hoping this is the day? Or do you secretly hope He delays so you can enjoy more earthly pleasures?
Are you watching and praying daily? Or have the cares of this world choked out your expectation of His return?
Are you living like Jesus could come today? Because He can. And we believe He will.
What to Do Right Now
If you're reading this and your heart is racing, if the Holy Spirit is convicting you, if you suddenly realize you're not ready - here's what to do:
1. Surrender everything to God immediately. Confess you are a sinner. Surrender completely to Jesus Christ. Stop playing games with your eternal destiny.
2. Ask, Seek, and Knock... Be filled with the Holy Spirit. Spend time in prayer and fasting. Ask God to fill you to overflowing. Get the oil you need for your lamp.
3. Start doing business for the kingdom. Share the gospel with everyone you can reach. Time is too short for subtle witnessing. Be bold. Be urgent.
4. Help other believers wake up. Like Jude said, "save others, snatching them out of the fire" (Jude 1:23). Don't let your friends and family be caught unprepared.
5. Watch for the Feast of Trumpets. When those two witnesses confirm the new moon, be ready. Your redemption is drawing near.
Our Final Word
Wendy and I have spent our lives serving Jesus, but we've never felt urgency like this. We've studied prophecy for years, but we've never seen the signs converging like this. We've waited for His return our entire Christian lives, but we've never been this close.
We're not trying to scare anyone. We're trying to save everyone we can.
We love you. Jesus loves you. And we cannot bear the thought of anyone being left behind because they were distracted, unprepared, or simply unaware of how close we are.
The midnight cry is going forth: "Behold, the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!"
Will you be ready?
The door is about to close. The trumpet is about to sound. The dead in Christ are about to rise. The living believers are about to be caught up.
And then the seven years of hell on earth begins for everyone else.
Please, we're begging you - don't be everyone else.
"He who has ears to hear, let him hear."
Time is up. Jesus is coming. Are you ready?
"Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus!" Revelation 22:20
If this message has stirred your heart, don't wait. The next few days may be your last chance to get right with God. Please, for your eternal soul, take action now.
